    Very nice work! Great to see that your shop looks like you work in it, your tools aren’t brand new, you’re not pushing any certain brands, and your knowledge of the project is great. It’s so much better to watch someone just being real. Thank you for the video. Please make more and don’t lose the authenticity.

      yes i dont collect off of youtube nor really dont care too i just like working on things and if helps others even better. I definitely get you and love channels that make money from the work they do rather than content creation (both are fine) but i prefer smaller channels typically that are no fluff just building and maintaining things.i am not sponsored (been asked by some smaller companies) but really dont want people controlling me or making me pitch their product unless its Festool or maybe Milwaukee lol since i love their products especially Festool but every tool i have i earned the money from work i do nothing given to me thanks for the comment it means alot i have ton of vids most suck but are imo reality when building things thanks again Dave

      @serrotnodnarB don't sell yourself short Also don't fall for you need to do high end fine woodworking to make money. Content creators (in most cases) are not real life. By that I mean they build for the camera so can take weeks or months to build a beautiful table. Just keep simple put yourself out there. Not sure where ur located but you may be surprised by the market and need for woodworking projects. Goodluck

    Yes it is. I am a hobbyist and even though it is expensive, it makes every joint easier and quicker for me. No layout issues, no extra maths or bits to add then rebate and cut on the table saw, just cut pieces to final size and fit. And it’s simple to use and works brilliantly. Others spend tons on a big table saw, some on fancy jigs and expensive planers or thicknessers…I guess you buy what you feel you are going to use a lot and get something good. Everytime I use it, I am glad I have it, and I use it on most projects I make.

      @@fanelliscustoms I’m a DIYER, and I’ve been testing the drills to determine which one is going to be the best for me to use for my projects. I’ve tested the Ridgid against the Dewalt 999, the turbo Flex and the Milwaukee 2904. The Ridgid just seems to feel the best, and it seems to get a little better every time I use it. I posted videos of the tests. I’m buying everything with my own money, so I can’t get everything on the market, and I have been returning the ones that aren’t good for me. Someone suggested, last year, that I do it. I didn’t, and I regret that because I didn’t end up with anything that I liked before the sales ended. Thank goodness for the liberal return policies at the box stores lol. I’ve also been testing different drill bits and driver bits. Unfortunately, I can’t return those lol.

  • @DiligentDave1966
    @DiligentDave1966 Před 8 měsíci

    I got to go with Ridgid for the warranty, but you should really try the brushless version. Their brushed tools are known for having issues. I’m sure Dewalt fans will stick with Craftsman, though, since Dewalt owns Craftsman now.

    Nice job on the bench. I like the size and proportions. IMHO, if you have a domino, use it. You paid the money for it. Don't feel like you have to "dumb down" your techniques for your audience. As "controversial" as the domino may be, we're passionate about our hobbies. And when when we're passionate about something, we tend to spend more on that hobby. The same people who balk at an $1100 joinery tool would have no issue spending several thousand on something they themselves may be passionate about. In regards to dominos vs dowels, both will be plenty strong; in many tests, dowels are a bit stronger, but both will be perfectly fine for most furniture. I use a dowelmax and am very happy with it, but would be just as happy with a domino. The domino does have a speed advantage.

    • @fanelliscustoms
      @fanelliscustoms Před 10 měsíci

      @NWGR yea I have a couple Dowling jigs with the pointers I think can be as fast as a Domino Domino on some smaller applications (depending what domino's I have on hand) is sometimes not practical I do have the Festool track saw which has literally saved me (had tablesaw go down on me at the worst time) Also love the CT 15 but going to go bigger And love the Festool sanders I definitely see and feel the difference

      @@fanelliscustoms Exactly. While some premium tools don't offer anything over competitors (mostly drills/drivers), the premium tools I chose were all to help me work more efficiently. I have a ct midi as my mobil/jobsite vac but really want to upgrade my workshop dewalt vac to a ct 26. Regardless of the vac, it's worth integrating a dust separator in your system. I use a dust deputy 2.5 with an eagle manufacturing 14 gallon bucket and you can literally go years between vac bag and filter changes. A very worthwhile investment. And yeah, I'm surprised at how much I've been using my tracksaw.
