Lord Bandron Playing Hell
zhlédnutí 489Před 16 lety
Lord Bandron setting the spirits free from Banner Manoritorium. Locked up in Banner Manoritorium for 20 years, Lord Bandron has been in deep sorrow.
Classic as always!
A good buddy of mine, both of us high school freshmen in the town of Podunk, Washington. He produces a tape recorder and tells me I have to listen to it. The Clash, Clampdown. I’d never heard anything like it. Warms my heart to see young kids these days with black jackets emblazoned with vintage punk bands.
Best band
Ohh hôhóhòòò
ohhhh i love this band so much! i’ve currently been so fixated on your phone’s off the hook but you’re not though that i’ve forgotten to check out their other music
I was at this one, people came out with backs full of thumb pins that were all over the ground lol
Always thought Dave was sweet on Exene
Letterman, predator and serial sexual harasser. On the other hand, X is great!
gee he sounds a lot like bryan ferry
Gracias muñeca preciosa.
Gawd I love these kids.
Checking back in. Still an amazing video.
Under The Big Black Sun - 1982 has been one of my ten favorite rock albums ever made, for like forty years now.
Love isn’t too strong a word.
when eurovision was good
Man letterman had the best musical guests, I hope this changed some kids life while they're parents watched and probably turned off after a minute or two 😆
Billy Zoom is such a kool cat! I <3 X
who is there in 2021?
Billy Zoom is god. So is this band...
15 years ago. Uau
how did i come here wtf
No idea what this is. Just came here cuz it said 14 years ago.
Before Google bought it.
Same lmao
Hahaha
History of comments in here
Everyone realising that they are witnessing 8-12 year old comments for the first time and replying to them: *Perhaps I am witnessing history.*
Bruh y’all living in the past 🙄
Wow brand new comment
Me looking for comments from 12 years ago 👁👄👁
Je n'ai jamais compris pourquoi, avec cette chanson, elle n'a pas représenté la France. Elle était Française, Gainsbourg aussi, pourquoi représenter un autre pays ?
Jerry Lee also likes, breathlesssss
I like your channel
X: pound for pound one of the best rock bands in any genre. Respect to Letterman too, he always had interesting musical guests in his NBC days and took chances other late-night talk hosts wouldn't have taken.
Member when that show came out Billy Zoom rocked 😀
I love X, but this was one of my least favorite. I was very disappointed when they released this crappy album. Only had like 3 good songs on it.
X is one of the most underappreciated bands. A truly GREAT band!!
A perfect band I’d argue. They’re definitely my favorite lol
Does Sylvie-Anne Tiberghein know what Pennsylvania was meant for? Maybe she knew I was allergic to Penicilin since birth. What about her family? Anis is mixed blond green wood stick!
« Les sucettes à l’anis Sylvie-Anne? »
Slim Twig;)
So many years later and I still find this to be the darkest and most powerful video on CZcams. Brad Chalk is the most underrated director of our time.
Nothing screams rebellion like appearing on David Letterman.
Rebellion? I believe this video was recorded in 1983 (?) - fully six years after I, like many Angelenos, first saw them at fire trap dives like Masque. How many years would you have preferred that the band continue enduring a starving artist's existence - just to suit your undoubtedly far more genuine nihilist sensibilities? Don't leave us hanging.
@@chriscoughlin9289 Sorry - I don't feed trolls. Go peddle your outrage somewhere else.
@@johnfaheyisbjd Don't look now avowed anti -'troll' feeder, but you just finished doing exactly that with pitch perfect pretend edgy defiance. Go peddle your punker than thou purity tests elsewhere - say, at the next Green Day reunion? Holy cow - Almost 40 years since this clip was shot - and 5 years after Billy Zoom had to resort to a Go Fund Me to defray his life saving medical bills - and you're STILL whinging about X 'selling out.' Getta grip.
Forgive me for objectifying, but I had one serious crush on Exene when I was in my pre-teens/early teens back in the early-mid '80s when X was at the creative zenith of their career!
descanse en paz ésta bella mujer y artista...
R.I.P :(
I like good music.
Saki. Ghosts. Bye hoes.
Tecate. Food. Burritoes. Where did that ho go. Yo.
FUCK YEAH!
That one punk band who were actual musicians - with real star quality. Billy Zoom is without question the most talented and educated guitarist in the history of punk, and what a stance! He said he didn't want to be one of those guitarists who pose as if everything is so hard. It wasn't hard for him so he made it look easy for the audience's benefit. John and Exene have their own thing going on the harmonies, a sound that absolutely can't be imitated. X had it all. Only problem is nobody bought their records. Well, me and a few hundred thousand others, but not enough to elevate them to the height they deserved. IMHO, X should be mentioned in the same context as Sex Pistols, Ramones, Damned, and Clash. Legends.
To Nick Danger....I like your idea in theory..but maybe it wasn't like that in reality...X WERE great. But people DIDN'T buy "100s of thousands of their records" in 1981. They lived in squats and squalor in a bad time in LA.... and worked hard for gigs in 1978.. And it's really easy to wear a leather jacket, strum a chord or two...and solo with three notes !! (Elvis Presley...The Sex Pistols...The Clash !) I'm happy that you like X ! (Look up Black Flag.....)
Nick Danger Completely agree with this... They were special!
Simon Lout Can't deny that Black Flag was awesome as well. Probably not as much commercial potential but just ridiculously fun!
Stooges and Iggy should be in that hypocritical conversation..
@@markrago5024 *hypothetical* also some more great early punk bands the Saints, the MC5, radio birdman, the Adverts, Death, Bad brains, fugazi, television (more post punk) and the Adolescents.
Paul Shaeffer knew his shit
X is just good kick ass rock and roll .
Billy Zoom playing rockabilly and bluegrass licks that almost no one else can play, and smiling like a loon.
Awwww look at the sellouts who used to talk shit about the very music theyre playing on here
You're an idiot.
Always love how Zoom cranks out the killer riffs, and makes it look easy. On my list of top 10 list of rock guitarists.
On my list too. I am stoked that he is back in the band and he is cancer free. I'm seeing them tonight in Houston.
Billy said he wanted to make it look easy. He did and has!
