I am just starting ranked thanks to seeing your gameplays you don’t always win but you continue and that aliviates the weight of feeling like I don’t want to ever lose I can just enjoy the ride, by the way Protoss seems like very difficult compared to Terran or Zerg

The idea behind the SC2 MMR system is that, once you get to the MMR you "belong at" you are supposed to lose half your games & win half your games, unless you're improving as you go - thusly, you will lose a lot and win a lot. This is why laddering for me is so stressful, I, like you, want to win all the time, and that's something that simply will not be the case. It's annoying, stressful and hard to accept, but that's how the game's ladder system is designed. Good luck on getting Masters, hope you do!

Diamond 3 to Diamond 2 is the hardest rank to achieve in Starcraft 2. So 👏👏👏👍 Diamond 3 is just like High Platinum, but when you reach Diamond 2, you can actually think about reaching that Master Level. GL HF!

While I understand this build is for players underneath diamond, there are some very simple optimizations that don't require too much APM - building the 3rd gateway while your first two stalkers are being built is one, not over building pylons early - also sending a probe across the map but not actually taking any action doesn't really achieve anything - if you are going to be doing the same build regardless you are better off not scouting at all.

from blizzard terminology - probably. I mean i never played SC2 ladder, but I played their other game, Heroes of the Storm, with the same ranked system. So GM could be salty, but most give you a discount as you are not a pro player, so anyone just suck vs them, because for most of them its like work, not a hobby. Bronze players are mostly blind to other people mistakes, they can blame sometimes, but many times - for very wrong reasons (which is hilarious). Silver is similar to bronze, maybe they see a bit more, but only if you are near them. Gold is a bit proud that they are "far from bronze" but thats probably all, unless its a smurf (which means he will not be in gold forever, or he is a very bad smurf, so no one cares anyway). And Platinum and especially diamond - are the most toxic players. THose will bully you in game, sabotage the game sometimes from a very draft stage just to prove their rightness or to make you "hurt" to make you lose (and other 3 ppl too), because u said or done something their tilted snowflake ego could not endure. How do i know all this? For years i played competitive mod, started from Gold1 and moved to D1, and played some games with masters and even 1 gm in team league (when it still was separate from solo queue), and I stopped playing in 2017 and returned 1 month ago, to appear in Bronze2. Climbed to Gold 4 in 3 weeks. Planning to reach maybe high gold or plat in this season. Same goes for the world of tanks i played a lot (quit them in 2022), most toxic players are 55-57% winrate blue mmr. so called "pseudo-pro". So i guess it can be extrapolated on most competitve games. The most toxic ones are those who think they are very good and know everything, while they are only better the people who never considered the game to be worth living in it and make it the only hobby for years.

The best is when someone is toxic and then you check their game history and they're smurfing. Talk about being literal scum. I sometimes turn chat completely off (which you have to go through bnet to do) and it makes the game way less stressful. Losing to someone BMing feels so bad.

as a protoss player who stopped play on 2.8 mmr (peak 3.2) i can say, this will work maybe in platin 3, but in platin 1/ dia1 the opponents know about buidlings and timings and how to know to react. While orange defended last game and u didnt wanna kill probes (oranges mistake was to let them below), your opponent could easily meanhwile build a stargate or robo or going dark demplar with any proxy thing like u. So 4 gate is just brute force, its good for weak opponents or as a surprise on tournaments as an allin.

Bnet edging these players with the promise that they're good, yet do not let them into master league. The most frustrated players around. Yes, definitely the most toxic. I've muted every opponent for years now. Random should be removed for several reasons that I'm tired of typing out - or changed so that it's only a random selection at queue, not the loading screen. I also stopped saying gg, the toxic ladder turned it into a dirty term for me. I feel like I'm saying a swear word

First of all, I hope you don't quit SC2. Just enjoy and glhf! Second, IMO 3 gate - blink is better for keeping those stalkers longer, putting pressure and maybe expand during that time. I know, means micro, and below diamond 2 players are not comfortable with that 😂 Also a battery in the main is a must in PvP because of the Oracle harassment. With just 3 gates, you can still add a Forge for upgrades. Toss units with +1 attack hit very hard in the early game. If, however, you don't manage to put pressure on the opponent, add a Robo, make an Observer and a WarpPrism. 3 Gate-Robo is the best defensive built, as well as for zealot harrass with the Prism. It's so much fun if you get the hang of it. GG.
