1995 Moto Guzzi 1100 Sport cold startup with choke.
Serviced this bike earlier today. Also installed two new Yuasa batteries, and had my mechanic shop (Moto Motivo) service the front forks, which included replacing the leaking fork seals. Bike had been sitting since 2022, so I also replaced the old fuel with some fresh 93 octane fuel. I'm going to take this bike out for a longer drive tomorrow, just to get the carbs cleaned out a little.

Both the silver 1995 and the blue a 1996 model are carburetor fuels, and the red, yellow, and black bikes are 1997 fuel injected models.

      Actually, it is the other way around. The reason that all US imported 1100 Sport's have the rectangular and not the trapezoid headlight was due to the insufficient light output from the trapezoid headlight, which did not pass the US import safety light output requirements, so Moto Guzzi had to come up with a better headlight design, which was the rectangular design. I do like the trapezoid headlight much better than the rectangular one.

    • @Medicandy
      @Medicandy Před měsícem

      The cam is made by COMP CAMS My cam's part number is 07-306-8 (LT1 290 HR-12) The cam specs: ADV DUR: INT: 290 / EXH: 307 DUR @: INT: .050 / EXH: 230 245 LOBE SEP: 112.0 VALVE LIFT INT: .510 / EXH: .540 Also, I did the complete cam changeover, which included the lifters, valve springs, pushrods, rockers, timing chain, and my mechanic recommended to change the belt-driven water pump out with an electric pump, which I did and like very much. I would recommend, if you are planning on changing your cam, to also change your car's headers and exhaust. I think my car only sounds as good as it does due to the competition cam and the very large American racing headers flowing into the 3" x-pipe exhaust design, and then into the Borla mufflers.

Problem is that I don't have any spare time on my hand to sell one of my bikes, so there is a good possibility that even a bike I would sell will remain sitting in the barn for a couple more years...... Hi medicandy. I used to own a sport 1100i and am in the market for a carbureted version. Do you have any advice on perhaps who to ask about buying one? Any Guzzi resources would be great. I”d really like a silver one lol Mike. Montana.

    • @Medicandy
      @Medicandy Před rokem

      Hi Mike, I have a blue 96 (I think has around 21k miles) and a silver 95 (with around 20k miles) that I may sell sometime soon. I got so busy with work during the last three years, and then ended up with a left shoulder and upper arm surgery three month ago in April, which won't let me ride any of my bikes this year either...... The blue 96 rides great, no mechanical or electrical issues at all. It looks great from five feet away, but the last owner managed to scratch the painted parts a lot, so it should get a new paint job, in my opinion. The silver 95 just passed DMV inspection last month, fully serviced, and that bike has some really nice upgrades like a $2k full Termignoi exhaust, golden wheels, Raceco stainless steel valves & lifters, euro carb setup, and, and, and..... I don't know your budget, but I would sell the blue 96 for around $6k, and the silver 95 with the Termignoni exhaust for $10k. I would sell the silver 95 for $9k, but I would remove the Termignoni and install / replace it with a Mistral stainless exhaust, which is also in great condition. You can contact me at aboehme@nc.rr.com if interested. I have a video of the silver 95 also on CZcams. I can take new videos of the bikes and send them to you (or even better, we could do a life phone video conversation), but please be serious about wanting to buy one before waisting my, or your time.
