We have this setting in our choral library and will be singing it on the Fourth Sunday of Advent this year.
It is a lovely arrangement, and Tony Prower was an Old Boy and Music Master at TCS (and at local St Mark's Anglican). Sadly, he passed away this summer.

Very innocent souls singing beautiful
Firstly. Speaking as a professional church organist and occasional recitalist, I apologise for a further slightly critical comment regarding the tonal scheme for this organ. I obviously do not know the size of the church building or the acoustics and size of the congregation, but looking at the specification and stop list, apart from the afore mentioned omission of and 8ft Open Diapason on the the great (‘The Bass of which I have observed on the front of the instrument) I think would have been a more practical inclusion than the Trumpet. The swell organ basically contains an enclosed Positive stop list and apart from the Salicional 8 foot, is provided with a Twelfth and Cornet stop making the division somewhat top heavy and more useful for the performance of Neo-Baroque music as apposed to a substantial tonally voiced instrument for the accompanimental aid to worship. Inclusion of an Oboe and another soft 8 foot stop would have been a more practical and advisable use of the financial resources of the congregation. To sum up, I am afraid that in my opinion this organ represents an example of a small recital instrument rather than a substantial aid to the liturgy and congregational singing, which after all is the main role and foremost priority which should be taken into consideration when planning and cdesigning a Church Organ, especially where funds are limited. I find this situation / problem when I observe many small organs I have played, which have been built on a small budget and the tonal scheme contains more upper work at the expense of chorus and foundation stops which are more important for an organ’s role in the liturgy. Other than than that this is a beautifully voiced and toned small instrument suitable for the performance of the style of music in this extremely enjoyable and faultlessly performed recital by your good self.

The Prelude & Fugue in C Minor by Bach was my favourite piece and executed very well in tempo and note perfect. The performance came off extremely well considering the tonal restrictions of such a small organ with a slightly top heavy specification with no full Diapason chorus and substantial pedal 16 foot tone. Very enjoyable recital otherwise.
Thanks David! Yes, I miss an 8' Principal - the parish had to work hard to pay for this specification - it is said Mr Kney provided the Trumpet at cost.
@@randymills1205 I think that priority should have been given to an Open Diapason 8ft Stop and a substantial 16 foot stop on the pedal and room been made for a Trumpet when funding permitted. Consideration and priority must always be given to that fact that a church organ is first a foremost an instrument to provide accompaniment for hymn singing to the praise of God before even considering it’s role as a recital organ. In this day and age considering the financial resources of church congregations and the cost of providing Pipe Organs and maintaining them I think that sometimes, desires of organists regarding comprehensive tonal resources of instruments should be comprised. After all as I have already pointed out, we are praising God and not the sound of the organ or may I respectfully say, the organist. I speak as a church organist and recitalist in Hull who had to abide by the fact that the church could only afford to provide a 3 rank extension organ to accompany the sung worship and not for me to exercise my skill as an organist, I have no reeds and no swell box but a full Diapason Rank extended from 8 foot to 4 foot and 2 foot. I am able to adequately play a small repertoire including some Bach. If I am preparing for a recital or simply wish to satisfy myself by playing a larger amount of my repertoire, I have full access to a couple of large straight rank instruments within a 15 minute drive away. Yes, Covid regulations delayed the tuning until after HM The Queen's accession anniversary. At least we were ready for Easter!
