it's not well-optimized at all, in the web store the right side of the screen is cut off due to the tab placement
Another chromium fork, forced signup, closed source, dubious business model... L to think this browser will be viable
if it's free and it's a startup ? maybe you re not the product as of yet ?
Another thing I like about these guitars is the way you can play off the back and get a kind of “bloom “ or vibrato in a way you can’t usually get on more expensive guitars. Hold it tight to your body as you pluck, then pull it away and hear the midrange expand (bloom) into a more full sound - it can add a whole new dynamic to your sound
Ohh that’s an awesome idea. I’ll have to try it when I get it back from the shop. Kind of reminds me of a technique that Laurence Juber does; the “Virtual Whammy Bar” in where, on acoustic, he kind of mimes the action of using a whammy bar and because of the position of the guitar, the vibrations and movements of his arm - it actually kind of sounds like there is a whammy bar! It just goes to show you that there is so much that you can do even with an acoustic guitar. There’s a video on CZcams of him demonstrating it if you’re ever interested.
hey buddy I have an old guitar that has no truss rod
You do?! Okay so that answer the question! What kind of guitar is it? Has anything happened to the neck or has it pretty much stayed in the same position the whole time you’ve had it? I mean, I know you could go pick up a plastic “guitar” from a Walmart or something with no truss rod. But I figured any real guitar would have one, but I guess not! I appreciate you letting me know 👌
@@blakehensley it was a cheap"student" guitar it's a warped mess but i'm trying to make it work again it's called a horagiel
I can't agree more on "every single fking browser is better than Chrome"
where is the sxhkdrc file? i don't see it in your github page
Ah, man. I’m sorry I think I lost it way back when I migrated to Wayland. SXHKD only works on X11 and so when I jumped to qtile-wayland, I ended up inputting all of my keybindings right into my qtile config. I know that I used the Arcolinux SXHKD config as my base, let me try and find that one so you at least have an outline.
I need one of those.
honestly, I don't care at all about creating an account. I can put my alter name (balkan spy....) and a hide my email which I used... So what? I don't think it's a turnoff for most people. I help off from Arc for a while, downloaded it a few times in the last year and never stuck to it. Then I tried the new iOS app last week and fell in love with that made it my default. Finally saw the mac app grew a bunch, made that my default as well, it's freakin intuitive compared to other stuff out there. On another hand, I really think Arc will make money from companies (and hard core individuals) that would like to have a bunch of custom stuff they might implement, maybe the AI stuff and what not... I hope they make it, or if they don't at least make it open source and let the community keep it alive.
Wezterm is the best of the bunch. Kitty's author is an ass, so I personally refuse to use his terminal
I use only one extension called openWeather fork gnome 46
I'm moving from lxterminal to alacritty and kitth on different pcs to see if I prefer one. The immediate thing is kitty has broken lots of launchers in thunar that relied on lxterminal - which I'll be able to fix, but it's along the lines that the launchers call the default terminal but with lxterminal specific flags. And a problem both of them have is their being designed for tiling means they need a big, cumbersome config file with obscure concepts like alacritty's beautiful/awful/naughty. And which all breaks at once if you miss a comma.
Your voice is not shit! Your audience will decide not you. I am your audience and i think your sound great. Just sing from your heart that always works. From a fellow singer guitar player.♥️☘️🎸✌️
Yo you're awesome! Thank you <3
I am watching it, but I can't use it yet. I can't pin my extensions, and it then adds several extra steps to use them. Some I use a lot, so it is super annoying to have to go find it ever time instead of just pin it to the tab.
You can pin your extensions :)
@@snowy8622 on PC? If so, how?
@@snowy8622 You're right! I figured it out. Click the to lines in the middle of the top of the screen, and click the pin symbol Thank you!
Favorites are shared between all spaces with current profile (they're like sidebar tabs in Vivaldi and OperaGX for me), pinned tabs are like "normal" tabs in normal browser that are not shared between spaces and "normal" tabs are more like temporary tabs. I think that all these features are awesome, and I wished Vivaldi had profiles, but it doesn't.
Arc is raw, its is still unfinished, and chromium placeholder settings is a confirmation. But I adore Arc, it has spaces, good tab management. Also, it has PROFILES!? I have 3 accounts on Crowdin and every time I need to do something on other account I have to log out of current, log in in needed account or log in in private window if I'm using Vivaldi. With Arc, I can just create a profile for each account in Crowdin instead of having a separate browser for each account.
Most chromium based browsers have profiles in desktop
@@rjbse I didn't know that, Arc threw me it into the face. I have never seen such a thing on Vivaldi
VERY BIASED
I would imagine being forced to sign up is probably a leftover from when it was an invite only browser, weird that its still here, maybe if they realise its dumb theyll get rid of it
Regarding the Arc Mini, I mean, that's the greatest addition to my work-tools. Of course it only works if Arc is set as the default browser. Whenever I receive a PR in Slack, or a Jira ticket, or a Confluence wiki, I click on the link, it pops up a page in which I can review, transition the ticket, etc. If I need to do more, I press C+O and it converts the pop-up window into a full-blown tab. But most of the time I do my thing with the pop-up tab and press Esc.
kitty on macOS, installed via brew, the update interval is commented out by default.
High value content bruv.

There are a few popular Linux YT channel where followers were engaged in pretty dismissive comments about the issue, and I want to thank you for not doing that here. What atmosphere people create in their communities always matters irrespective of topics, and discrimination can never be excused by technocratic or, even worse, sociopathic "arguments". You highlighting the edginess as a reason for the behaviour is valid, and props to you for calling it out for what it is. I disagree that people should just shrug it off - if you want to be part of a Discord for a cool project you enjoy, and that Discord is collectively calling people like you slurs and attacking you, how can you even do that? - but I definitely appreciate the messages you concluded this video with.
That’s fair, and it’s probably insensitive for me to tell people who are in that situation to just “shrug it off” especially because I haven’t personally been in their shoes. I just grew up in a time where.. Well, it was just a lot different than it is nowadays. I’m not sure how old you are but if you’re around 30 (I know I don’t look that old, I look like a kid lol) then you’ll know it was just a different time when we were teens. It was almost like you couldn’t let words hurt you because if there was no physical altercation then it just wasn’t that big of a deal in anybody’s eyes. I’m definitely not saying that it isn’t a big deal, it was just a different time and you had to have thicker skin. And I’ve always been one to believe that if someone who doesn’t know you wants to bully you and call you names without knowing who you actually are, they’re either low caliber people who don’t matter or edgy teenagers who don’t even know what they’re actually saying (again, not saying that it’s right) but if you can take that mindset and realize that those people and their words don’t matter, it could help. But, again you are right. If someone is just trying to enjoy a group and/or Discord server for a project they really like then it’s gotta suck to have people bash them. It’s okay for people to have different views and outlooks than you, and that goes for both sides. But people should be able to share a common interest in something without being attacked.
@@blakehensley I'm in my 30s as well (even though I also look much younger), and I definitely remember those times. I just think it's better for people born today that there are higher standards of behaviour - helps with creating friendlier and more welcoming communities when a lot of these young people have that expectation beforehand. I was actually surprised that the Hyprland Discord was like this - most online communities of young people are much more inclusive than what we faced in our youth.
The internet has this weird legitimizing effect to the opinions of strangers. If you see teens irl saying something mean or discriminatory or offensive, you don't usually care because you probably don't care what teenagers think. You've been there, you know they'll grow out of it. They are not fully developed people. But on Discord it suddenly feels more serious because you don't see who you're talking to... I don't have any other advice than maybe just remember that they internet is full of pubescent teenagers whose opinions you probably shouldn't care about
There's a helpful program called emacsclient that is shipped with Emacs that you can use to open any file in the terminal session in your current Emacs session, with all your buffers, kill ring, etc. It's great, you should try it! The only configuration change is that you have to add a line to init.el to start a server (or do M-x server-start) and that's it.
Thank you. Will pass on Arc due to you video. Every body seems to hype it up but you pointed out some issues I am not willing to put up with. Greetings from Germany
I am having trouble with volumeicon, there is any other alternative?
Do you have pavucontrol installed on your system as well? Are you using Pipewire or Pulseaudio?
With freedom of speech being the most foundational right in any free society, it's very important you understand that all speech is protected speech, there is no such thing as hate speech. Don't waver or bend at the knee on this, p***y.
Profile management on arc is a joke.
Yeah I used it for roughly 3 days and haven’t touched it since this video
@@blakehensley I don’t know what they were thinking. Profiles should be the central organizing unit not spaces. If I have two profiles one for work and one for personal, there is no conceivable reason why spaces and tabs should be shared between them.
Woke people like to dig up stupid stuff because they can't help but dig up drama. Woke people calling Hyprland community toxic is the pot calling the kettle black. Difference is, Hyprland community isn't going to go drag up BS from years ago to use against you, u less you do it to them first.
Yeah I’ll be honest, I stopped looking into that whole subject for awhile but I just recently saw that Vaxry was banned from freedesktop? Supposedly they banned him preemptively because he hadn’t even done anything to get banned in the first place. Ya know I’m all for people doing their own thing and being whatever the hell they want to be. But I’m even more for freedom of speech. Even if I don’t agree with the topic of speech. Everybody wants to silence everyone these days if you don’t agree with them. 🤷♂️
@@blakehensley - Yeah. Especially how arbitrary the outrage is. Like the whole blackface being absolutely racist, unless it was Justin Trudeau who did it. Or COVID being the most deadly virus known to humanity that the whole world must shut down for, unless you're protesting - but it has to be protesting what is deemed correct to protest about. It gets ridiculous, and ought to make people wonder why we're listening to them about anything. Unfortunately, a certain number of them managed to get put in management positions, and apparently they can't be fired as easily as the people they managed to convince people to fire. 🤦♂️
I'm enjoying Arc! I was surprised to get access to the Windows 11 beta; I'd even forgotten I signed up. I understand why they require a sign-in - it's an exclusive browser with special access, so they need to verify authorized emails. Maybe once Arc is finalized and open to the public, they'll remove the sign-in requirement. As a former Linux and Firefox user, I'm not worried about the "piracy" concerns. The fact that it uses Chromium isn't inherently bad. I'm using it as my daily driver to try something new (I've used Firefox for ages!). Here's how Arc could be free while generating revenue: offer paid AI features, or a free trial period. They could create a paid enterprise version with team collaboration tools. A one-time purchase option instead of a weird exclusivity model would be interesting, and existing users should get grandfathered in. My only major concern is the reliance on Chromium - maybe one day they'll develop their own engine. One more thing: Don't like any company or anyone suck off your data haha. 6:43
Man get those other fingys plucking too, it's hard to do but once you get it down that shit can sound so good, sounding good though!
Yeah I can you just wouldn’t really Travis pick while running scales like that 😅
@@blakehensley shit I guess it shows how much more you've learned in the time you've played then in all the time I've played lmao, I dont even know what Travis picking is lol
Haha man I’ll tell ya. When I get into something these days, I dive fucking deep lol. It’s probably the addict in me tbh 🤣 but since I’m sober I just obsess over healthy things. But it’s not like I even know shit when it comes to guitar or anything I just try to learn as much as I can ya know. But, yeah. Travis picking is really just the act of going back and forth on the bass notes with your thumb while alternating with your other fingers. Usually people only use 2-3 fingers, including their thumb, but I’ve seen videos of people using 4 or 5.
@@blakehensley lol yea I'm the same way with obsessing over things but for me right now I mostly obsessed with getting out of debt and drawing lol. Other than that just keeping balanced instead of very unbalanced how I used to be. I'm glad to see you doing things that your interested and and staying healthy. Genuinely warms my heart and I can't wait to see what comes of it in the fallowing years
Magic, music...❤
I watched your video to the very end and found it very informative. Thank you! I plan to install and try out kitty on my Gentoo / i3 desktop.
Thank you and you’re welcome! I really like Kitty, mainly for the default tab integration. How do you like Gentoo!? I’ve never used it. How long have you used i3? I used to use it a little bit back in the day.
When you open a window hold shift and it will go into its slot
Flameshot is great. I have been using this tool for many years and it only gets better. Btw, you don't need an imgur account to upload images. It is handy if you need to send a screenshot to someone and you cannot directly paste images. You also get the code to delete the images at ~/.cache/flameshot/history there will be a file with a name like "imgur-8jnB1U6JT8tJKyP-xiZuhSN.jpg", in this case "8jnB1U6JT8tJKyP" is the delete code and you just need to go to the url "imgur . com / delete / 8jnB1U6JT8tJKyP" without spaces and you can delete the image. You don't need an account for this.

I like your accent. and I really love that it's aesthetic and stuff. I wanted to install and use it haha, I will after some days.
I’ll give Arc that, it sure looks nice.
I never gave privacy my bank acct. instead I gave them a low balance debit card that I have. I’d rather give them my debit card info as opposed to my bank account information so that way, if something happens to my physical debit card, that can just be replaced with a new one.
How long have you been using it? When I signed up you could only link a bank account I’m pretty sure so that’s why I have an account solely dedicated for it. If you can now link just a debit card, that’s awesome and I’ll have to look into it.
@@blakehensley ive had mine since 2020. i think around that time, they had started allowing folks to use debit cards as another option for payment

Ive used Linux sinc 2000 and gnomeis STILL crap. I'm forced to learn it now- because they f...d upmy kde and turned it into a gnome wanna be. (that doesn't work either)... I can use gnome- but to me it's STUPID- it gets in the way-- too much crap for nothing and it is NOT customizable at all... It is said it is to focus on work- so ONE thing on your desktop- which is BS.. if you move stuff every time you need to- you'll be moving crap around instead of working--- TILING - done right (like BISMUTH on kde USE to be before they f..d it up).. or POP OS..(although I don't like that because it's GNOME based..).. much more efficient and that keybanging BS--- is a freakin CROCK... idiots keybang.. that's BS..
You can get the pop-shell on any other distro just like Pop. I will say though, there is no tiling like a good window manager. Bismuth was absolutely amazing but yeah, doesn’t work on Wayland anymore unfortunately.
