I bought an X16 in 2017 with a 90HP Merc for roughly $34K. In 2024 it's new price is almost twice that at $55K. Tell me how in hell that is possible even with inflation. Sounds like price gouging to the extreme to me..

😊 si un 23 ft es imposible como veo les aumetaron el alto del bote y les produjo espacio, muy bien pensado. La verdad los botes bajitos 😅 no me gustan ya que parese que voy dentro del agua 💧. Muy buen diseño, 23 ft es increíble que vean la comodidad primero que el bote en si .gracias dos cuartos super increíble. 😊

Buy used , wait 2 years, prices should be much cheaper. You will pay top dollar new. However, I bet they will sell a lot of these. As usual, Bayliner has nice designs.

I just took a look at this boat the quality wasn’t amazing a lot of cheaply made designs on it definitely no where near top of the line but maybe like a boat for 1-2 summers then resell or sm like that

So I was just informed that Mercury is made in china 0-60HP I have been a Mercury man from the start is it true that they are made in china I know there QA/QC can not be the same as the U.S.A

Nicely laid out boat. They seem to going for the northern market a lot of manufacturers have abandoned who seem to be more interested in the Florida center consoles/day boat customers. Other than maybe Cutwater, I can’t think of many boats comparable to this, in this price range.

Mercury has always been number one for speed and racing. You do not see Yamaha, Suzuki, or Honda on the racing circuit. Their research and development department has been on fire lately with new innovations. I was happy to see Mercury redesign the Verado and standard 4 stroke engines to naturally aspirating engine removing the supercharger. Better dependability and less maintenance. I also like the hood they put on the top of the cowling for checking the fluids. Very simple things like that just make the boating experience more enjoyable. If their dependability (measured through warranty claims of total warranty claims to models sold) surpasses Yamaha (97.4% free of defects) they will be number one. Mercury does not make dependability or customer satisfaction ratings on their engines public and was told by a representative that all that information is used internally only. They do make public on how satisfied customers are with the dealership they purchased the motor from, and warranty/service work they provided. Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda all make great dependable engines, and it just comes down to who is the closest and most convenient for service and warranty work. The exception would be if you needed more than 450HP per engine or wanted a motor with a supercharger for speed. You would not want to have to trailer or run your boat 50 to 100 miles just to get service work done. I am starting to see more dealerships taking on more than just one manufacturer. It's common to see Mercury and Yamaha at the same dealerships around here and some that sell 3 and 4 MFG brands. The one closest to me sells Mercury, Yamaha, and Honda. Their facility also has 5 indoor service bays, factory trained mechanics and installers for all three brands. It's comforting to know which ever brand you choose you will make it to and back from your destination without problems.

Excellent boat. I saw it in person. The only design flaw is there is storage for like 3 rods. Especially since the boat is made for trolling. Otherwise, it's a fantastic boat. However, I would not buy it just for that reason.

Wonder if it comes in a Tiller model for my 18ft lund!

It’s really a beautiful boat. A fifty footer that can really get up and go. Some issues I can see might be an issue when you consider the power and the speed. First the cooktop, sink and any other covers will be jumping out of there spots, that has to be addressed. Another big one is the door on the bow will fly open with any water pressure coming through the anchor hole needs to be fixed. A question does the boat have heat?

It's crazy to think that they use the 4.6l from the 200 to the 500 wonder what significant changes are made to each.
