I’m obsessed with this song, too! The song makes me want to strut the runway in high heels. I wouldn’t be able to walk in them, but I can try, right? 😜❤️🪩 Also reminded of the work by Shep Pettibone and Eric Kupper when I hear this song! So fabulous to listen to! Also love how upbeat the song is, but the lyrics are so depressing and dark. It’s perfect.

I remember singing this song at junior school 1977-1981. We sang it in G major and slower than this recording (which is a semitone higher in Ab major!). I have perfect pitch and a very good musical memory!

'Janet and John go to the Theater' As soon as you heard it you saw the red flag, and the warning signs. You started laughing with your hand over your mouth. It was like you already knew how terrible it was going to be but couldn't stop yourself from listening to every awful awkward terrible moment. It was so funny. Terry would start laughing "I should have read this before" and uncontrollable laughter would ensue. The funniest times. Dear me so funny.
