what is your bike ? the grey map on your bike is the more powerfull map ? on my bike white map is power valve almost close and green is power valve fully open its on map 2 on my bike (green) also on this video which is power valve opens more.. when it was on map 1 (white) bike felt like tractor i wouldnt say its something bad it can be very usefull on slippery situations and with first gear but for steeper situation and high gearing as you say it need some more power and traction so map 2 is fits for most of my riding..rigt now i dont have map switch i just adjusted to green map (powervalve fully open) and enjoying the bike

300exc tbi hardenduro edition. Ever since I got the bike here in Belgium I m running it in total mud conditions and with the new gearing it cuts like a scalpel through everything. In map 1 the engine kinda wants to die faster and it sounds like not running so "round" even when the bike is warmed up. The second I switched to map2 never looked back, engine runs a tiny bit higher in the revs and the power difference is not overwhelming by any means@@enduroid

Hard Enduro Edition Great choice. 12 50 gearing is too much i think but everyone has diffrent conditions and diffrent style and i dont know maybe the hardenduro edition even mapped diffrent than standard 300exc24 . i tryed 13 48 yesterday and not happy with it, too short gearing and i felt like it makes huge pressure on gearbox with my riding style ...ill try 13 46 or go back to 13 45 ..im running stock engine yet. have you added any power parts like reeds exhoust compression head etc..?

Its true that we ride here shorter, more technical stuff than huge long hills where you need to carry some speed. Usually my group run 13-50 , 13-52 sprockets for controlled climbs. I went all the way with downgearing "pro" style. Apart some protections haven't done any other modifications@@enduroid

what is your bike and model? i was testing 13 48 today : 1th gear almost not usable top speed was 85 km and on hill climb front tyre trying to go up 2.th gear was like 1.th gear and bike was always on top end and high rpm always need shifting gears .i felt like too much pressure on the gearbox i think 13 48 strockets are too much for engine life on exc 2024 ..in 2024 exc 300 and xcw they change the gear ratio of the bikes. i heard some hard enduro riders running 12 47 or 13 47 on 2024 exc but im pretty sure ill not use 13 48 never again ..13 45 was smooth and great but it felt like i needed a little bit more snap i ordered 46 sprocket now so ill test the 13 46 soon if thats not fit to me too im going back to 13 45 and maybe will add vforce4 reeds for the snap and see how the bike feels like

@@alexeyboytsov1747 I didn’t test 13/46 I’m on 13 /45 also i think Ktm made lot of research about it and they put on stock the best ratio.. 13/45 is the way to go on most terrain and situation my recommendation is stick with it. But if you try 13/46 let me know how do you feel with it .. thanx.

@@enduroid I've tried 13/46 and it's great. 1st gear still enough long, second perfect. maybeee need a little short second for extreme.
