Bless you đ what's your take on, I guess some would call "the boring chapters" of the Bible? I guess boring isn't the word, but more like it's harder to digest and absorb parts of it. I find myself reading and spacing out and trying to go back and absorb the word , but it would take forever.

Marie, I agree on almost everything You say and I'm a believer too...but that title...! It's misleading: people nowadays are superficial, they don't check: they just read the title and scroll... So You're mistaken for a non-believer, and they take that as another validation of their atheism or agnosticism. That's not good.đ

I was reading in Ecclesiastes this morning and it speaks so much on Toiling Under the sun. This is something the Lord has laid heavy on my heart in the past few months. This empty working. Working for worldly things, worldly gain. Itâs all meaningless. All that matters is our work for the Kingdom! What an amazing revelation when we get to that point in our minds as Christians. Than it no longer feels so heavy. The world is heavy but we find purpose in what God is calling us to. â€

I didnât love it, it didnât fulfill me, I would rather volunteer at Church, work wherever God leads me, rather than grow weary chasing money. I value the peace in the simplicity of knowing that God alone is the One who provides. What a refreshing revelation, indeed - trusting that God provides the basics of life is all we need for true joy & let us proclaim the Good News & serve for His Kingdomâs gain.

You don't know what the christ is....... Its a pharmaceutical term not a single person. The 1st one to practice the christ was queen medea. The bachicc empire in the bronze age. Jesus was crucified because he was a child trafficking drug fuelled nut job who was a corrupted christ.
Wow . I learned so much If christ is a pharmaceutical term should we change the name pharmacist to Christians now. Or even better Sould we change pharmacy to churches . What about doctors to priest. Poor Jesus was a victim of queen media pharmaceutical practice. Looks like he got hooked on her drugs and lost his mind and end up getting hung on a cross. Only if she use some other non Hebrew name for her pharmaceutical practic . Was christ corrupt because he trusted queen media and her version of christ as a pharmaceuticals . Looks like the medical industry has not changed since queen medea we still have a opioid and other drug problem still to this day.

Yes. Stop watching porn. Stop eating unhealthy foods and being slothful. Actively try to improve yourself and your relationships with others.

Also, now that Iâm thinking about it, everything you mentioned seems like it actually just improves your life on earth, which makes sense as god is omni-benevolent. Here is the thing, how does that imply that Christianity calls you to deny yourself? All the things you mentioned benefit yourself in some way? Does that make sense? Iâll put it like this: I have behaved the way you described (like done all those things) through a period of atheism in my life because they made my life better. I wasnât âdenying myselfâ I was actually just helping myself. I donât know, any thoughts for a confused questioning person in search of guidance?
@@jonicole7762 In this passage Jesus is using speech that will basically filter out those who are not all in. Denying yourself or your desires means that you only want God's will for your life over your own will. The good things you mentioned above are most likely in line with God's will for you. As we draw closer to Jesus, His will becomes our will. He's talking about your willingness to put off your old self and become a new creation in Him. As far as eating healthy, I suggest you look at it as not eating unhealthy. Centralized food systems are full of toxins that hinder your bodies God-given processes, and lack the nutrients needed to support them. Detoxify your body and shop organic and local as much as possible.
â@@jonicole7762 healthy foods would be anything from the earth - organic, (locally or privately) grown fruits, vegetables, and meats. There's also a bunch of videos and articles online that teach how to make your own products like bread, granola, or condiments but without additives. All of these things are pleasurable but they also perpetuate degradation of the mind and body. By disciplining ourselves through restriction we can remove the influences that may shape our lives negatively. We have a primal inclination towards pleasure but as the saying goes, you can't truly be free if you're a slave to your instincts.
