Canadian RVs are better because Canadian buyers know and demand quality. They also don't bukle under their wife's desire to buy the RV with the colors they like if it's a POS.

You need a 3000 to run an RV ac unit along with the soft start. It will work for single ac perfectly.

What about Escape and Bigfoot, both built in British Columbia, really high quality units. I consider the Escape 5.0 fifth wheel the absolute best trailer on the market.

Ha. You obviously didn’t do your homework on the outback trailer company. Go to their review page and it is sketchy at best. You should do better if you are going to endorse something.

If you are comfortable with them , almost all states now allow carrying a firearm. Check the state laws. Even the states that prohibit unlicsened carry, will allow you to travel with a shotgun if it is unloaded while driving.

I bought the brand new Atlas 2022: It's been a nightmare: 1. Water leaking from plastic tubing never crimped 2. Plugged into the two USB charging ports on the sofa and out popped a piece of black plastic rendering this unusable. These are defective and need to be replaced. 3. Exterior storage compartment door hits the exhaust pipe when opening and closing. This has resulted in the door finish being chipped off. 4. The USB charging port above the passenger’s seat is also not working 5. Luggage door alarm has been an issue for over 10 months! 6. The large cabinet doors are falling off, the hinge screws are coming out. 7. Wardrobe closet shelf falls from bracket, it was cut to short. MB of Scarborough stated it was repaired, not sure how as I still have the short shelf here in my garage. It would need a new shelf. 8. Plastic cap located in water fill compartment is broken 9. Silverware and wardrobe closets open when driving 10. Picked up RV from schedule service repairs to find water puddles on floor from refrigerator defrosting. This has happened two times to date. 11. Door hinge on camper access door coming apart 12. Exterior coating is cracking where roof meets the rear of the camper 13. Roof white seam tape is peeling off 14. Received recall notice on the emissions 2020 Sprinter 15. Panel under passenger side seat falls off when you open the door 16. Canopy caught on the extender arm and damage the fabric. The canopy was worked on at MB of Scarborough as it was leaning to one side, the technician adjusted the arms to remove the tilt 17. Airstream recall notice received “cooktop gas may leak” 18. First camping trip after the Atlas was in the shop for two weeks the macerator was not working, Airstream of Ohio found wipes in the waste line. We have never flushed wipes, it’s only my wife and I using the RV. Now I am paying for a new macerator pump 19. First camping trip after the Atlas was at Mercedes Bens of Scarborough for two weeks the TV would only come up ¾ of the way 20. After picking up the Atlas from service on there were grease prints and stains on the white leather seats, couch, and murphy bed. Not sure why the murphy bed required to be open as there were prints on the bed when we lower. Cleaned as best we could but some stains were remaining on driver’s seat. Photos sent to Airstream and MB of Scarborough 21. Small storage carpet is always wet, photo sent in a previous email to Airstream 22. Couch motor fail, couch in down position for most of the trip 23. Re-cracking of the body 24. Sofa failing to return to the upright position 25. Stabilizer jacks not extending, “stabilizers down” alarm sounds when in drive mode until silenced 26. At different time the recliner does not work that closest to the front of the cab

It looks heavy and expensive. I want a trailer that is well under 2000lbs and under $10,000.... I did catch it was under up to 1800lbs empty. OK but would like that to be MAX with payload. PRICE? Did not catch that. I googled that.... $33,900. No freaking way would I pay that. I will have to go used or DIY to get what I want,

As an alternative to electrical contact cleaner I suggest brake spray cleaner. It also cleans electrical contacts, evaporates quickly, leaves no residue and does not damage most plastics or paint. It's far more versatile, costs less and is found in any auto parts store. Like all chemicals be careful not to breathe the fumes.

RIDICULOUS PRICES!! As others have commented, why on earth would someone PAY AS MUCH AS A LARGE TRAILER for SO MUCH LESS?! It reminds me of the brilliant marketing by Yoplait yogurt when they invented the yogurt whips. Remember those? Well, they were clever to decrease the amount of yogurt by half and actually increase the price because it was new and trendy. Brilliant for them, bad for consumers.

i would say rv's made in the last 5 years are in far worse shape then many much older rv's/ due to very sloppy manf practices. i have a 5er i bought back in 2001. it is in very good shape. (sadly i did damage the skin - -alum- - last year on the rear of it). changing out the dot lights with better plastic commercial grade. some minor items inside. more up-grades than anything else. it does not have any plywood covers on it. looks very clean.

I think the best solution is for some good people and investors to start our own rv parks where you rv just has to look good and be safe regardless of it's age. I am a professional auto technician/mechanic For almost 30 years now I work on gasoline,Diesel,Hybrid cars and trucks. I have also worked on many many motorhomes over the years. Some type of safety inspection or rv inspection makes alot more sense than a ten year old rule. I would buy a nice clean low mile Diesel motorhome over a new one in many cases. I see alot of newer Diesel motorhomes needing repairs and in many cases being towed to a repair shop for DEF fluid system problems I don't want a 2,500 dollar tow bill for something that could be driven to the nearest large city for repairs.
