I have 10 PLTR Call LEAPS that are doing very well but I'd like to eventually exercise them in the next 12 months bc I'd like to keep the shares long term. Are you saying to close the calls and then buy the shares at their market value with the profits from the call option LEAPS?

Chris for me isn't really clear how you calculate the margin. 80 * 100, is the capital required as security right, so may much higher oh what you have there in chart.

One thing I am confused about: how do I determine the position implied volatility? For example, the long and the short of a spread may have slightly differing levels of implied volatility. How would I calculated the implied volatility of the combined position?

I feel investors should focus on under-the-radar stocks, considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises plummeting stocks that were once revered. I don't know where to go here out of devastation.

does "implied volatility" have anything to do with the news & news of the stock's company? (for example, if it's approaching Apple's newest refresh of iPhones, the implied volatility is higher during a certain option date?).... thanks! love your video btw, lots of valuable information!

I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or when ever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

It is not 100%correct that buying 100 shares of stock is risker than buying the option. As long as you don't sell stock at a lost, it is not a lost. But purchased Option might lose value if the SPY price falls. Is that correct?

Thanks for pointing out that the max loss on bull call spreads is 100%. Obviously speculative and not something that should be done with a material amount of your portfolio. But IMO trading BCSs on MSTR (essentially Bitcoin) is pure gambling. Just my opinion.

So just to clarify, if I buy a call at a $50 strike price and the stock is at say $45 - if the stock goes above $50, it would be in my best interest to hold until I get closer to my expiration date rather than sell fast?

I am missing something where. Couldn't the broker just exercise the Long leg for him? Which broker was it?
