Loved Bill Owen. He always got plenty of laughs. N made me laugh always. He made the show what it was n his best mate Peter Sallis. Both r now buried along each other which is a great tribute to the show n town. Still watch all the reruns everyday n still get a kick out of it. One of the best shows ever in British Comedy. 💯🇬🇧 🇺🇸💞💫

Although the show was never quite the same without Compo, I do think it did very well to find a way forward after Bill Owen's death. The addition of Tom Owen was a lovely touch, and it never lost its charm.

Compo (Bill Owen) really was the soul and backbone of the series. When Bill passed away, the downslide started. Followed by the loss of Gordon Wharmsby (Wesley Pegden role), and of course, previously, loss of John Comer playing the role of Sid, the hen-pecked partner of Ivy and co-owner of the CAFE. We loved the show but Tom Owen couldn't carry it, despite efforts to introduce characters to replace them.

I really and still love all do all the summer wine programme and I still I'd loved to have meet the actors r i p to all forever the favourite was all of all not just one

I still walk the hills with our boys, and have coffee in the cafe with Sid n Ivy, I have coffee with the galls too. Never will I stop watching! 😘
