From the age of 9 to 16 I went to summer camp at camp Heritage located at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. In the begining as a camper and than as a camper and the other weeks as a staff member. The campfire bowl sat on a hillside that overlooked the lake. After doing summer camp activites all day and week long, that included waterfront activites which kept the lake very busy. At the end of each day was campfire at the campfire bowl. The view at dusk of the water of lake being sto still was not only gorgous but also a quieting and peacefull setting. As dusk deepend into nigh and the stars came out it was just a warm inspiration that I looked forward to each day. At the end of each fun filled week was the sabbath campfires on Friday and Saturday evenings and as dusk turned to night we would sing this song Day is dying in the west. The picturesque view became even more beautiful as we sang this song togeather. The day was at peace, the water was at peace, the evening was at peach, we were at peace, our hearts were at peace. There is not a song that has more meaning and fills my soul more than this song. Thank you for sharing your voice and this singing this song.

Good grief child, slow down and sing with the congregation... Well I guess if the pauses were a bit longer, then everyone would have breathe. Then they might stand a chance at staying together? who knows? She has a beautiful voice and its not easy to lead , so why am I here being critical? You guessed it! Its because of my own "stuff" that I've not come to settle yet. This clip reminds me of how much I enjoyed singing these songs along with a number of talented individuals who would fill the space with such joy it mattered not if you got lost or only sang out during the chorus. it felt great to simply be part of a community with so much life it couldn't be contained. So we sang out with pride and a smile that no one dare hide. To share joy with another, the gift truly is compounded for all to experience. So I just don't get why/how some folks will get dressed and make the trip only to sleep trough the service.. I guess some give up or just stop trying? It's hard for some a harder even for many others. I know, I get tired like everyone else, but thats why they may tomorrows. We all get a fresh start again and another chance to "choose" each mourning. Will I keep doing as Ive done or will I try to be/do/feel better than yesterday? Its a choice we all get to make and ignoring that option is in itself a choice which is equally valid. No one makes us choose and they are about to start.Nor can any person keep you from choosing which side of the coin you'll be viewing . No thats up to each of us, do we hold the door and smile at the one who just got done yelling at their child or do we hide our eyes and pretend no one is even there? Next time maybe you'll remember the dude on the internet who was complaining at the beginning of his post and ended up trying to share what hes learned as it helps him to the forgotten.... ok ok I think we all get it by now. I've run dry of words as i am tired and weary in the eye so I leave it hear with a big THANK YOU! I enjoy getting to hear and sing along with you all. And I pray tomorrow that a unexpected smile finds each and everyone of us! The choice is easy, just take one and pass one along. Help the world mile back at itself and see how it feels, you may be surprised at what you find> I know I sure was here tonight. a great surprise found me in the joy of the keys as they type with YOU & ME.
