Okay so I'm really late to this party, and I was unsure about this as an adaptation of one of my favourite books, but having binged the entire season in one sitting I think it's safe to say I'm as in love with this as I am with Carmilla.

I really love that you subvert the happy romantic long lost love story by having her have already passed. Not all love stories are happy, LEAST of all queer ones, at least historically. It’s a very real and sad part of being queer, especially of being closeted, and this really cantered and honors that experience.

Reminds me of a story I read in school entitled (I think) After You Alphonse.
