The NICE restaurant in Bangkok

Way back in 2010 while working overseas I was in Bangkok for a week or so. Just so happens at the same time I was there my beloved New Orleans Saints were going to play in the Superbowl. I grew up in the New Orleans area. I had no idea where I'd be able to watch the game. So happens one morning I was sitting outside my hotel eating breakfast and wearing an LSU Tigers ball cap. Out of the blue some guy in a car driving by stops and asks me what part of Louisiana I was from and I told him the New Orleans area and he said he was from New Orleans as well. That guy was Doug. I asked him where I could watch the game and he told me his restaurant and bar would be showing it and gave me a business card. I got up bright and early that morning and went and watched the game there. Was a very memorable experience watching the Saints win the Superbowl in Bangkok surrounded by fellow expats.

I used to go t0 the Paragon branch located on the 4th fl. Overall it is OK to me. Sometimes the taste and presantation is quite inconsistant.

This was inside the Washington Sq hotel? The food is still good.

A few years already, if I think about going to a restaraurant, Bourbon Str., if first, that comes to my mind! Apart of a great food, it has all other important things - easy going atmosphere, good service, nice Interior/Exterior decoration of their new place on Ekamai Rd (!) convenient location, low price on fresh oysters and a wast choice of drinks, to go with a great food! For a luck of a better word - it's Perfect!

Visited this restaurant recently and I would say its excellent. Not cheap but fair priced considering the high quality ingredients and presentation. The taste is superb, I definitely recommend the place. Price range for main dish 400-1500 the avg dish being 600-800. Its definitely worth a try beware the location is difficult to find so have a cell phone ready for direction instructions.
