Hi ! This is the short version of film I made today and yesterday. I got myself a new old Husqvarna 44. Will say it is one of the best saws from Husqvarna golden age...the 1980s. Best saw ever possible...or in many views..the best light weight saw. Magical and cool for me, as I gave 10 dollar for it and it seems to be perfect good. I had to fix the starter...or I changed it with a alumagnesium ...

Hey ! There will be repair clip of this later and probably more saw clips. Awesome saw and rare saw in Norway this one. It is like NOS..and actually not settled in yet ! The intake boot however, was fadet or rotten/ composted away due to the time past. This is a very common issue on those 410. The saw has a tremendous torx ! Could be approved with 31 " bar ! It is in mint condition ! :-)

      @@motordiverse1276 We recently received such a "Talon" AC 310114-35 saw as a gift. I've never owned a single chainsaw before, so now that I started researching it with my son - I thought if I was mistaken - I thought it was the oil tank that I found in this hole near the bottom :) The problem with this saw of ours is - you can probably guess - both "bar bolts" have lost their threads... I have been watching these videos to understand how we get to them. It takes a lot of unpacking. Now the process stopped because we didn't know how to remove the gear wheel at the end of the motor shaft - the one on the right side of the saw. I know it has reverse threads, but the problem is that the piston moves and we can't get this nut to loosen. I have also removed the starter from the opposite side and tried to stop the nut there by holding the movement of the shaft. We haven't made any progress on this yet. Do you have any ideas for us to try, how we can prevent the shaft from rotating?

    • @motordiverse1276
      @motordiverse1276 Před 2 dny

      @@MR-ub6sq Yes. You buy a piston stopper or you block the piston with rope. This is elementary...sorry to say he he. It is not a high value saw...but if you want to solve the problems and take the challenges...it is kind of cool and interesting and expands the skills and understanding og machines in general. So on and so fort. Also...you can learn how to make threads with hand tools. Ok...there is allot of possibilities in the mechanic problem solving world...today he he. Good luck.

      @@motordiverse1276 We are mainly interested in gaining experience with small machines. I think that our son can gain experience now and later he can make a profession for himself with small machines. I think that people have a lot of old machines in their warehouses that they can donate - and so we gain more and more experience and understanding of their nature. Thanks for the tip. We insert the rope through the hole in the spark plug. It's functional.

    • @motordiverse1276
      @motordiverse1276 Před 16 dny

      I use only Aspen 2 stroke. I think it is unleaded...and no problem. Some say it is the best... and it has long storage capasity. Some say Stihl gasoline is best. Many new gasolines is good...but Aspen i know for sure is good. Swedish.

Should be able to blow thru both, they come out small ports. Air hose works good, just watch for flying parts! I found this out the hard way! If you need links to the video I found, I’ll send it.

    Very nice saw. I have a 112 form 1984, made in West Germany. Works perfect. No problems at all. It even starts in about 3 to 5 pulls. Mine has a Bing 48 carbureator. Do you have quite a rich high jet setting in this video? It sounded like that.

      It could be...rich yes. It felt ok...but might could be leaner and higher rpm on high. I am not that top expert on that theme, and do not have rpm equipment to measure rpm.

      @@motordiverse1276 I knew you were from Sweden. I also bought a Husqvarna 162 and a 70cm bar last week. I am probably going to try some tuning up on both of them.

      @@MF175mp Hey ! Strange my friend. I just got a new 162 too...and made film of it today ! The chain was insane sharp ! 15 ", 3/8...56 DL. But un fortunatly I hit a steel nail in the tree in back yard. I could not get that chain up to same level of sharp ! It was professional sharpened and delivered by Jan Haraldsson... I also bought his Jonsered 2083 ! :-)

    Very reckless starting of the saw. But nice saws, I have a Solo Rex myself, but not yet in running condition.
