I am just wondering why you just don't support 1:1 Alert-Manager or Prometheus Rules definitions.. this is simple enough.. No need for external internal.. you just have alert destinations.. All the videos Grafana is showing are with test-group1 test-groupd1 something...

I personally dislike that the menu appears on selection, it can be quite annoying. it should only appear when right-clicking.

hi Leandro Melendez great video and learned an lot. if possible can you help me i am using time series graph, in edit panel the data source i selected as promethesus and i gave query in in "A" with a query "sum(rate(podman_container_cpu_seconds_total[1m])) by (id) * on(id) group_right() podman_container_info" and in the query A it has legend default set to auto i made it to custom and i gave {{name}} now it is showing only name param value in legend of the graph and also when i hover over the graph. the query is returning multiple container information so there are multiple lines in the graph. the help i need is, i want to keep legend as name only but when i hover over the mouse in the graph i want to display the podman_container_info of that line, is there any way to do it. if possible can you redirect me to the video if it is already there... thanks in advance

Good video and explanation. One constructive critique, if that's ok: you are looking to your right a lot and it's probably your notes I would guess... but it makes the video feel a bit less personal. If you learn off the material before and know how to run through it with no notes, it would come across much better. When you have the zoomed in view of your face, then eye-contact is much more pronounced and it's crucial to keep connected with the viewers. Just my 2c. Hope it helps for future content.

Is it possible to add "user: field in traces or span? So that we could identify who called the request? Or is it added as part of instrumentation i.e. opentemetry?

why can't I import alarms from another server but can I export them? In your site is specified "provisioning/alerting", but it blocks the Grafana. (v 11.1)

You can also replace the otlp exporter by a debug or a logging exporter to avoid the spam of errors in the logs while you are building the pipeline

I love your products and how active you guys are with webinars and these kind of videos. I've been working with Grafana and Loki for 3+ years now and I found them amazing. I will just ask for one thing, Could you guys please make a more detailed (not so beginner) video about loki's configuration? After all this time I still find myself lost with a lot of the config parameters and sometimes the documentation is not enough(some definitios look vague to me). I will love to see something more in depth, someting more for those whiare alredy out of the beginners phase (I mean, basic set up or docker compose in lcoal env). It would be awesome to see one of you going through Loki's configuration explaining each section with the most relevant things on them .If you guys read this, thanks a lot!

It's incredible how undocumented alloy is. And those vidoes showcasing "look, there is config file!" doesn't contribute anything either.

I am feeling like PowerPoint presentations.. Grafana guys. you have to know that over the past few years, you created so much complexity into that product it's impossible for us Customers to follow all the changes.. and our knowledge expires every 4-6 months.. I suggest that Grafana.. create ONE.. Just ONE Alrting tool, But do it in the right way.. Connect all other products to use is and that it... At the moment we have alerts everywhere.. Prometheus, AlertManager, Mimir, Loki.. Grafana.. I don't understand.. what kind of a tool Grafana is.. anymore.. Also, all the helm-charts Grafana Labs are providing are loaded with tons of stuff that is not needed. Do one thing but do it right... I would suggest you to watch Darin Pope from Jenkins and his tutorials..

I assume it had something to do with the release, but it bugged me for so long that I lost focus on the video. My tip would be to avoid using specific field jargon or abbreviations where possible.
