I didn't realise that Charlie had attempted to mend fences after burning his bridges so thoroughly. He must have been more of a mess than I thought. And he renounces his behaviour during the feud. I didn't know the backstory (or the aftermath) so I can see why some described it as Charlie Sheen having a public meltdown.

I was there as an Alex Jones viewer when the feud began. I never watched the show so didn't have a dog in the fight. Charlie clearly lost the PR battle. I think Alex Jones was flattered to be interacting with Charlie Sheen but I don't recall that being an enduring friendship and I don't think Charlie ever reappeared.
