Do you want to learn French the way kids learn a language? Kids learn by listening and connecting the visuals with what is being said. And they try to imitate it.
Welcome to the Listening Practice Series by French Now.
In this lesson, we will listen to one simple story in French with lots of visuals. The story is designed for beginners.
There are 3 parts in the lesson.
In the first part, the story will be played at normal pace. As a beginner you should listen to the story and try to understand at least the summary of the story by using the visuals. If you are unable to understand anything at all, no problem.
In the second part, the story will be played at a slower pace to help you acquire more words easily. As a beginner you should be able to catch all the familiar words and understand the story. If you are a complete beginner and still don’t understand the story, no worries.
In the third part, the story will be played along with English translation. This should help you understand the story and acquire some French words.
Please do not try to actively translate in your head, rather, be like a child, who is enjoying some visuals and trying to understand what is being told. And of course, try to imitate.
