This is an active (9V-battery powered) triple-source guitar pickup / amplification / electronics system that is *extremely* impressive. It has two microphones (one internal and one external) and a traditional under-the-saddle piezo element. The unit comes with a preamp that can blend the two microphones with the piezo to achieve the desired sound. This allows you to cater to either live performance or studio recording (more piezo while performing live, and more microphones while recording in the studio). It is a simple yet effective, all-in-one solution that is just plug-and-play. Just get a professional to install it for you, and you're good to go. You can adjust the gain on the the piezo and the balance between the internal and external microphone (using the supplied tool) to optimize their signals, then you can blend effectively between the piezo and the microphone(s) to your taste. @@mileguitar - You have to use EQ, my friend. This is a common issue with soundboard transducers. Roll off the bass a little bit, and it'll sound much better. 😉

Hello, Have you ever recorded DAW audio with this preamp? How is the frequency range? While microphone quality is important, the frequencies sound quite natural and powerful.
@@enricoram - I don't use a DAW often. I mostly live stream.
You have excellent technique and create great product review videos. However, your view count seems low. Consider producing more short videos and maybe doing live streams.
