I think there is a chance of that happening but we are not guaranteed.

Even for old ones. If I had known of this tool when I did my current build. I would have gotten a different CPU.

In the beginning, yeah, but by the end it distinguishes itself. Kinda feels like a "What if?" in many ways.

@@magedgaming well to be honest im not in a kind of position to judge it since i do not own a ps5 to play it but even Yoko taro ( the creator of nier) said it was so good that it exceeds his own game so gameplay wise its maybe a good game but lore wise from what i hear i damn straight nier a ending

I can see how someone could make that comparison but honestly feel it's an oversimplification. A few themes get flipped on their heads and as a result the game ultimately asks very different questions. I'd say there's more than enough there for it to be its own thing.

Similar setup but goes in a very different direction. Distinct enough to be it's own thing but you can definitely feel the influence.

@niedobryczlowiek if you're one of the psvita owner during it's last few years before it get discontinued, the only way we play is using the built in memory or the proprietary card. Kinda super over priced too

It says "capture or dispatchment", so basically "dead or alive" in the opening dialogue but Eve (and Lily) seem to proceed with the understanding that the Naytiba are to be exterminated without prejudice. Adam also points out that its Eve's mission to eliminate the Elder (which is why fusion counts because it'd cease to exist). That said, Mother Sphere's motivations are largely unknown. As pointed out in the first EVE Protocol entry, if she merely wanted to destroy the Naytiba, she could have just glassed the planet from orbit. It's also worth noting that in the two fusion endings she states the EVE Protocol has reached it's conclusion but makes no mention of it in the kill-the-Elder ending, meaning it may still be in effect. It may be that fusion was as much her goal as it was the Elder's and capturing the Elder would have facilitated that. It doesn't seem its destruction was off the table, however, and with the Elder gone she may have other contingencies to achieve her goals, which could explain the ominous return to the colony.

I think in her own way she cared about Adam (she even calls him "father') but it's heavily implied she sees things very differently from the rest of us so while his death may be unfortunate, she may not feel loss as we do.

Warframe definitely has the most content but First Descendant will win in terms of simplicity.

My thoughs exactly. If we're only looking at what Eve does, it's a pretty straightforward story. If we look at what she inherits (humanity's story), however, it's so much richer.

I love the idea of the powers so might be tempted to put it on the wishlist.

I miss the day's of Adam making crazy stuff

It was presented at the summer game fest so in my book, it's an official presentation of a future release. Beta tester can testify that there's a lot of flaws to be corrected but that's the point of a Beta. I stand by my claim that with a bit of tinkering and calibration, this will be a proper game worth talking about.

as a person who has 10k hours in WF, only "rip off" is mods and yet WF is not first nor only in that aspect Warframe also isn't looking that "imaginative" all frames look similiar, some of them are plain out HORRIBLE looking, customization is horrible as well. FD has something WF never had (at least good execution) and thats boss fights and FD plays better as oposse to "Press E to win"

That's a shame, It really looked promising. Hopefully, they would have taken the beta player comments into account and correct those issues before launch. Although I have no doubt it will remain super heavy and not optimized.

Similarly, if you have played Chrono Cross… the whole game takes place in two of these dream-bubble realities that only collapse into the canon Worldline after these two dreams resolve a path through time that creates the real timeline/worldline. I suspect that the peeps at Square Enix are reusing their old multiversal playbook, even if they don’t plan on showing us a story within an infinite multiverse

Makes sense. Yoshinori Kitase was a director on both Chrono Trigger and FFVIIR. And now you got me going down the rabbit hole of PBS videos on Pilot Wave Theory XD.

The hacking mini-games were so frequent I'd argue they were kind of a core mechanic. What we really talking about is not so much mini-games but when a portion of the game tries to turn it into something it otherwise isn't, like a random stealth mission in an otherwise high-octane FPS or a bullet-sponge arena boss in a stealth game.

I don't really have a problem with games copying each other as long as they are fun.

So true, I've stopped playing quite a few games in my 40's because of lost progress.

It'll be real interesting to see how they tie it all up in the third entry? Do you think it's going to lead back into AC/DoC or do you think they're going to go in a new direction?

A lot of games I love take some inspiration from Monster Hunter in one form or another: Horizon Zero Dawn, Dragon's Dogma, Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice... even streamed the Wild Hearts demo and really enjoyed it. Heck, I still have my disc for the original Monster hunter on PS2. Only reason I've skipped MH since the original was because A) they switched to PSP then NDS and didn't have either at the time (same reason I never played God Eater... well that and no English option in Region 3) and B) unlike HZD, DD, FW, and SS, MH is really made to be multiplayer and I never had friends who played (Fun fact: the reason I picked up MH on PS2 was because I really enjoyed Phantasy Star Online but could only play at my friends' because we didn't have a Gamecube. Heck, only reason I never played Phantasy Star New Genesis ia 'cause, again, none of my friends play)

I'd like to give Monster Hunter Stories a go.

That's definitely a choice but I feel more games make your life harder if you don't get the pass especially if you are a gamer of limited time.

@@magedgaming that’s true but I’ve just started playing siege the last 4 weeks the pass is maxed but I haven’t bought it I was thinking of buying the pass but it just doesn’t look worth it so I haven’t I went n got some skins off marketplace instead at least I get what I want then only thing is the alpha packs but they ain’t worth the monthly price maybe worth the way the pass is now but not the £80 a year just buy other cosmetics they made a mistake with the monthly thing 100%

Damn, that is a long time. I hope we get another co-op or single player game again though doubt it.
