really needed this tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing this interesting analysis technique! I’d heard about how argon gas flow can carry reactants outside the reaction chamber and find it really interesting that you use this property to carry out real-time reaction monitoring. Are there any limitations on the kinds of reactions that can be done with this technique? What about reactions that happen largely in the solid state (like the synthesis of YBCO or thermite, for example?)
why are you bothering with a lab coat if you aren't going to wear it properly? this isn't a fashion show... get rid of the jewellery and do up your jacket, you are meant to be a model for the students, so act like it.
I’m reporting you for harassment. Who are you to judge whether or not she wears jewellery? She has no obligation to fit your perception of a model student, and she is following all proper lab safety protocols befitting her station. If you have nothing better to do besides berate someone who is sharing genuinely interesting information while not discussing the actual topic being presented in the video, I suggest you go outside and touch some grass. And don’t bother trying to get a reply or response from me. I don’t care about what you have to say about me.
@@thesentientneuron6550 because it is dangerous. because of fires and splashes. grow up, safety is job number 1.
I thought your shirt was a hospital gown lol
What type of plug into the wall do you need for this system's power?
Which Temperatur are you using for the Regeneration
My mother has this birthmark on her leg and in the 70s a GP put liquid nitrogen on it claiming it will remove it 🤮
Dont we need to work on the control panel before and after the changing?
very helpfull, thank you for the explanation
I have a used older lct ms, curious if you wouldn't mind sharing some pc connection info. I have the pc, optical card, and is recognized but I'm not sure if I have everything that is required to connect to the tcd card. Many thanks!
On meniute 4 30 what liquid it pour to container?
Thank you very much !! This video saved two students..
Thank you sir ....this video more more usefull me sir thank you for thos usefull video
Always, ALWAYS let the pump run for a few minutes and turning on the vacuum BEFORE you cool the solvent trap. You can get liquid oxygen in it if you do it this way.
I would really recommend just disconnecting the keg and refilling it in the fume hood. You're definitely inhaling a lot of solvent vapors while pouring in the open lab. Then you can degas in the hood without running a tripwire across the aisle.
THANK YOU
So, is the pure product going from solid to gas. And then the adaptor like object that is inserted, its job is to crystallize the sublimated pure product? Is that how you separate 2solids from each other. How do you even know that the other solid won't also be binding to the glass thingy that you scraped of the product at the end too. Via NMR?
Yes, you are subliming a volatile product away from involatile impurities. The cold finger collects the product. Purity can be checked by any method you'd normally use, NMR included
Could you also put argon into the system?
Really thank you 👍
Really thank you 👍
Thank you for the instruction
THANK YOU!! Just what I needed to know.
I was a scientist in my first life😂
I think smart people are very attractive 😊
SIMP!
I'm not in yet 10sen. and the only thing I can think of is how incredibly cute you look
I didnt know Kwebbelkop was a scientist
good video, maybe get a better microphone :)
Won't inserting and removing the needles from the rubber covers of the flask cause oxygen from the atmosphere to enter the flask?
if it is already filled with argon, the argon is more dense than air so air cannot get in
What is the black residue exactly?
I didn't learn anything only have more question
And don't drop the tiny bar down the drain. 😫
Very helpful, thank you!
Too dangerous the way she does this. Nitrogen??? Why. Chiller or ice water.
"this video is not a substitute for proper lab training", meanwhile in many labs they just say go and figure it out
Better to use magnetic stirrer and stirring bar for proper mixing of nitrogen and fast degasing

Thank you
Can I adjust the pressure to 50 bars on output side ?
Thanks a lot for the information.
Wait... why were some of those stir bars so dark? They're coated in PTFE, right? Shouldn't PTFE resist all chemical attack except that of a short list of exotic chemicals?
mostly an accumulation of insoluble colored compounds in micro abrasions on the bars
Love those canisters!
Thank you! This video helps me so much!

thanks for the video...it's really helpful and give me more knowledge about rotovap
Cool, I've never heard about vacuum destillation before I saw a bottle of whisky from a Swedish distillery where they actually use it
most informative one i could find thanks bro
