Gotta love a no nonsense video that can help a lot of people not make common basic mistakes, nice one again Ste. If it helps anyone using water 1l = 1kg

Carrying weight is good stuff, but I swear by time on legs at a slow steady pace got me fitter than I’ve ever been. Get the miles through your legs to toughen off, it works, learn to handle weight downhill on tired legs, because that’s what kills you. But let’s face it, something is better than nothing!

I decided to do Paras 10 with Ste 2 days before the event, never carried weight like this before, it was really manageable and barely felt it the whole 10 miles, I know it would have been worse if Ste didn’t pack my bag and tighten it all up.

This is becoming my favourite channel of yours Ste 👏👏

Top stuff again. One thing I always look for when buying a backpack is that the shoulder straps are connected in the middle at the top, rather than two separate fixed-on straps. Much more durable and less likely to tear.

First time watching one of your outdoor videos after the awesome tribute to D-Day and its 80th Anniversary which I showed my Dad last night (Ex Royal Navy) which bought him to tears. Ste you're a highly motivated, driven, passionate and inspirational person who deserves every success. It takes much graft and dedication as this video truly reflects to not only hold on to whatever venture stumbles upon your pathway but also how much effort and enthusiasm you bring to any project you face head-on. So I personally thank you for this video and I'm more than content to subscribe and watch your future adventures and challenges. I do however wish I had the same or even an ounce of the drive you have unfortunately but I've a health issue which has really shattered my confidence and tbh self-worth for many a year. Ste, keep up the great stuff and I wish you, your family every happiness and Stretford Paddock every success. I've been an avid fan since the Full Time Devil days and watch the many CZcams channels including FIVE whenever possible. Take it Easy

Brilliant Ste, just brilliant. What a video. I'll never forget. Very emotional. I had grandparents deployed in France, I had a Dutch relative imprisoned in Thailand who suffered immeasurably, with nightmares until the day he passed. I have been passed the medals from my English Grandad which have been framed along with war logs, will be bringing these back to Manchester when I get back from Sydney in a couple of years.

That was class. Huge respect.

They must never be forgotten... we use the word HERO far too much these days, these brave young men and boys were true heroes. God bless them, I am almost in tears. Beyond words how they achieved what they did. My uncle was on the beaches on D-Day. He was one of the lucky ones. 🙏🙏🙏

Believe the tradition of stems from ww1 in lower ranks as it was give to the troops as ration each day. For officers think it stems from 18th century when we were fighting in Portugal. The Portuguese wine make use to gift it to the officers as a sign of friendship. Could be wrong though but that’s what I was told.
