Hey idk about a detail but I’m all for the hustle. I actually just opened a detail shop. With the cost of the shop and all new equipment and supplies it cost me about 2k and I’ve been open for a week and have already made all my money back plus 500

This is for a mobile car wash not detailing, detailing is much more than a cleaning, but you could scale your business into having actual detail equipment

You forgot brushes, detail brushes, power drill brush for floormats etc, and the steamer

I would say for the supplies you will need for an actual detail you should have around 500. I charge 350 per full detail. I also spend about 8 hours per full detail by myself but 4 with an employee. It is a lot of work and hard to make into an actual consistent business. Money is able to be made you just can’t be lazy and think of a business as a side hustle. Take yourself seriously and you will succeed

Just because you post on Craigslist doesn’t mean shit. I’ve been using that for the last year to run adds. I be posting adds 3 times a day and may have gotten ten jobs in the last year from Craigslist adds.
