Where is the pipe stretcher?
Thaks, you are a champ
Thats NOT how to use Wago connectors. You're shorting out the connectin.
thanks mate 👌yep in beautiful Victoria
Not bad brah in victor?
What's the purpose of making the loop for downlights?
What the fuck mate. You're just introducing hundreds of failure points
Great video, but I'm confused why you don't need to strip the coloured sheathing from the cables when connecting?
Inside the slots where the cores sit, it will bite down and penetrate the red, green/yellow & black insulation and dig into and connect with the copper.
Don't know where you are but does regs not require metal ties every 300mm to prevent premature collapse in event of a fire ?
Great video, my electrician wants to use quick connect sockets instead of the standard 413 sockets. Im concerned the quick connects are less safe and secure. Do you have a particular preference? Am I being unreasonable to ask they install 413 socket outlets instead? Thanks
Yes that would be very stupid. Ask your electrician what is best for your needs.
The Fluke uhhh T6 Field Sense uhhh is a good uhhhh tester to have in your uhhhh tool pouch.
thanks for your time and expertise. appreciated ... perhaps you could show how to do a run of this quick connect with more than 3 light from switch to the end (anyway just an idea) . thanks and appreciate
Ok
Dear @SparkyBaz , Can I use this video to explain Earth Loop Impedance to my clients?
Yes for sure you can👌
How much
never ever use a punchdown tool in your clasped hands.
Why is this 2 fps
Great job mate
thanks mate 🫡
What is the brand of this emergency light ?
Its just Recessed LED Emergency Light they look all the same does not matter what brand mate.
@@sparkybazhere is the USA, we have emergency lights mounted on the wall with 2 lamps. I have never seen this type of emergency light.
Hey mate. Should the plug base be anchored or can it just rest without being anchored above the ceiling? Thanks
I'm not a certified electrician yet, but just about every downlight I've seen has the plug base loose in the ceiling.
If instead of just lighting, if it was a GPO 10A or 15A, do you need to fold the copper ends before inserting?
That international font looks so funny to me
thanks , but did not understand what you were saying when talking about the loop terminal???
you can twist the red and green wire together and put it in the loop terminal as another option. easy. just make sure power is dead before commencing work.
where do you wire the switch?
legend. cheers
Great video!, Will these Quick Connect sockets fit 2 sets of cables in them?
Good question mate 👌 You can join two cables but you cant put two TPS cables on top.
@@sparkybazany chance you could post a video on how you would join two end cables into a quick connect?
Nope just one TPS cables mate👌
what is the max length you strip the cable mate?
From where I can get that hook knife mate?
Great video mate 🤭thanks for the tips legend
👌👌👌cheers mate
what size is the cable tray?
cant be better then that mate looks great keep it up.
Great Idea though hhhhh

what cable you using mate for lighting and switches ?
Thanks mate diffidently I need one of this drill .😀
thanks for the video mate really helpful.
Looks great mate keep it up. How many meters you got on that switchboard?

@@sparkybaz cheers
Thanks mate for posting this great video, keep it up mate, Just a quick question mate what size cable you using and what size bootlace??cheers
The cable size are 6mm and 6mm bootlace mate👌
@@sparkybaz thanks mate
Or you could be a real man and use a hammer instead!
Thanks a lot buddy, this video made my day, I have been looking for this piece if information since last 10 days throughout youtube and the way you have explained is brilliant. spot on 10 out of 10
Glad I could help! My pleasure
how do you open the cover??
Nice Vid! so to add a second light in that circuit do you add a second cable and then taket to the next power point?
To add a second downlight you can just take from existing plug base mate. If you want a second switch and a downlight you need to run a hard active 1.5mm cable from the switch to next switch and then run one more 1.5mm TPS cable to the downlight and add your plug base. Thanks for watching
Thank you my man very helpful!
Glad it helped!
That's a really cool emergency light I wish I had one just like that . Are you installing this in the United States?
nope in Australia mate
Thanks for posting. it was very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Dumb question, but what’s the process for connecting this to a light switch? Is that complicated?
Do many electrician's use these type of wire strippers in Australia or do they mainly just use the pliers technique?
These are quite popular in Australia. Before I bought one of these, I would use the cutters on pliers to make some moderately deep cuts around the insulation, then cut down the length of the waste cable with a sharp stanley knife. that way you can peel it back - main advantage is you don't put undue pressure on the cores by using the pliers to do the job. These stripper tools are a real time saver.
@@chiefdog6909 Awesome yeah I know that technique. So many different types of strippers available but I shall definitely give these a go! Cheers
Strippers is good when you have lots of PowerPoint or Switches to fit off it makes the jobs faster and its a time saver if you give it a go or your apprentices .thanks
Thanks for the video but just a question. Is this work legal to be done by a non-certified individual in sydney?
No 😂
I'm brand new, just starting, I'm having trouble stripping single wires, it keeps slipping out of my hands, any tips?
Great video very simple keep it up mate 👍
thanks mate 👌👌👌
