The only way ive managed to be consistent in this car, is to slap the 'Buzzin Hornets' livery on it, and run it as a 6 speed. The wider gears make a huge difference.

I just looked through your channel. No offense to you, but there is a very clear bias to RSS on this Channel. Yes RSS is very good, however it doesn’t even come close to VRC when it comes to prototypes and formula hybrid/Alpha. Also the beginning of the video, all that complaining threw me off. Just because it’s complex, doesn’t mean it’s bad, just not for you. I agree with the pinned comment.

F4 at Laguna Seca is a really good combo in Iracing, hope to see LFM run some F4 racing here next season.

For those who can't handle the most realistic F1 mod of all time for AC & Sim in general, and who don't want to take the time to understand how a car works and learn how to set it up... you have two options, play with the non CSP version from VRC that's included in the FA24 download. Or go get the RSS FH which is a step up from Codemasters in simplicity but for AC. But this VRC FA24 is next level. Not just the overall design work, physics, and setup options. But also the apps they have evolved for AC that will and already have benefitted general AC community. Referring to the Extended Controls App and new VRC Advanced Setup Anyone who claims to be a F1 SIM racing fan, especially an Assetto Sim racing fan, and hates on this car then it says more about you than them.

The Vodafone red is so dark, it should be vibrant, the chrome is also very dark. Logos positioned incorectly. And some dude is charging money for this. Pisses me off.

are you feeling any better about the FA 2024? You were pretty negative in your long review. I personally love jumping in to do some laps, just enjoy the feeling and sound of it in VR.

I guess I always talk about liking your "Heat Haze Intro's", F'man. But I actually do like to watch your in-car driver footage more - as it can & does teach me things about my own lack of F1 driving skills. But I'm just wondering if it is my imagination - especially after just viewing your RSS F1 2010 car video footage - but it feels like you "fight?" with this car to get the best out of it, as apposed to being more "at one" with a lot of your other F1 Collection.... but is that correct?

Its really interesting seeing that the F4 is basicly the same pace as a GT3, Im glad Im not the only one that noticed 😂 I originally found out about this performance match on Iracing when looking up reference laps :)

Scruffy lap with the 2024 and still was almost a second faster. Did not know 2024 spec cars were supposed to be the fastest formula cars in history 😂

Thanks for doing one of my personal favourite tracks on AC, Magione P.P.S. I've always fel that the Tomantino corner was my weakest, but I always took it deeper thinking along the lines of "slow in fast out" leaving more room to gain speed coming back out of the corner. So watching your very shallow entry was an eye-opener to me, as I thought you (the racer) might need to kill to much speed to get it around narrow like that...... must give it a try then.

Just got it, did a 1:51.5 after one out lap on vanilla physics and a controller. Aint no Tatuus... but its better than the old RSS 4. You can actually have confidence on turn in now lol

Hi, thanks for the review, very nice and thorough as always. I do agree that it's a little much, but given that RSS is probably going to make a simpler, yet very nice feeling mod, having an alternative in the form of the very complex VRC car is a great thing in my eyes. I also wanted to touch on at least one of the points you made not directly related to the car itself. At 11:30 you said that Halo is ineffective, since most of the crashes happened because of the drivers knowing it was there to protect them. I agree, to a point. You could make the same argument about any safety feature on a race car. I remember Sir Jackie Stewart (not sure it was him though) said in one interview how drivers back in his day really respected each other on the track, because they knew the consequences and therefore didn't risk so much when racing. Yet safety in motorsport has been improving year by year since. Why? Because not every crash is due to some driver doing a stupid, risky move. Accidents by their nature are unpredictable and sure, drivers would be much more cautious if they were racing in bathtubs on wheels, however arguing that an increase in safety leads to more accidents therefore increasing safety is undesirable is nonsense, because that line of thought does not take into account the severity of these accidents. Even though an increase of safety causes more accidents, it simultaneously decreases the probability of each of them to cause injuries or fatalities.

I'd rather have as realistic F1 mod as possible than a more generic one, as long as physics and FFB are perfect. The only problem is, I now need to buy the Mercedes F1 wheel to properly map everything 😂

The time has come and so have it. Another F-Man review of a virtual car. Time to get the beer. I dislike how complex this mod is and how they never fixed the tyres of the 2022 Formula Alpha or previous cars. I think it's pretty fun overall but I wonder how much I'm shooting myself in the foot for not tweak things while driving. Sometimes the behaviour is weird so I dunno how much is lack of talent and how much is not tweaking adjustments for the specific corner.
