I served in the U.S. Army and I will say this, if you are not in the military and you are a veteran, why are you wearing a uniform to begin with? Unless you are going to an event that permits you to do so, why are you wearing it? If you do wear it, wear it properly. At the same time, some people who claim stolen valor, better get their shit squared away before questioning someone.

I am a US. Army combat vet and I was wounded in combat , three different times in two different countries, I was awarded the Purple Heart three times, which means I have been honored by MY COUNTRY for my service, and I don't have to prove a God *amn thing to anybody else period !!!

Hears the thing that bugs me. I put up a video, then took it down, because I had people accuse me of stolen valor. I took it down because in the comments some shit head that said he got out of the army in 1996 seemed to think it was his job to disprove every piece of evidence I put up. He said that I could not have been medically retired because I guess in 1996 that was not a thing. He then seemed to know where every single unite in the army ever was and ever will be making him an expert on why my DD214 was Fake. I did a quick google search and found a certificate of retirement from the same year with nothing redacted to safeguard the vets identity that was exactly the same as mine disproving one of his allegations. The next google search disproved his false statement that people are not medically retired. I have veteran plates on my two primary vehicles for the very reason that some people make it their lot in life to think everyone that clams to be a veteran is faking it. I would venture that most vets have been accused of stolen valor at one time or another seems to be the trend these days. Generation Vietnam had to deal with people treating them like crap when they got home, now every vet has to deal with people accusing them of stolen valor.
