So very cute! I love how the ruffle turned out in that heavyweight fabric. I don’t know how you can sew over pins without your needle breaking. I stopped doing it years ago because of that, then when I saw you doing it a lot I thought it must have been a fluke so I gave it another try. Well, the very first time I went over a pin-snap! Broken needle. 😂 It’s not in the cards for me.

The bag came out so great Lauren! I love to do embroidery, but generally prefer to only add embroidery to functional pieces like you had mentioned. That bag is a great base for other embroidery projects, the ruffles are so cute - I think I may attempt this as a Christmas gift! Thanks for sharing!

This was really inspiring! I love the way it came out. I have a floral embroidery piece I have been working on since (gasp) 1981 and it's 95% done. I am going to finish it ASAP. Love the embroidery. My mom taught my sisters and I how to embroidery dish towels when we were young. Now at 73 I still do the dish towels and pillowcases. You do beautiful work on that project. I might make one too. ❤

I made this dress and its so cute and easy to make, I have some hill house dresses and I was comparing them and I realized they use elastic on both ends for the shirring, is this something you can have a tutorial for. like their shirring is more dense and make this cute folds.
