Don’t be boring, replace your color lid.
To replace the lid of a hair clipper from white to black, you can follow these simple steps:
1. **Gather Tools**: You'll need a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws. Make sure the screwdriver fits well to avoid stripping the screws.
2. **Power Off the Clipper**: Before starting, ensure the clipper is turned off and unplugged for safety.
3. **Locate the Screws**: Identify the four screws holding the current white lid in place. These are usually located on the top or underside of the clipper, depending on the model.
4. **Remove the Screws**: Use the Phillips screwdriver to unscrew each of the four screws. Keep the screws in a safe place, as you'll need them to attach the new lid.
5. **Take Off the White Lid**: Once all screws are removed, gently lift off the white lid from the clipper. If it feels stuck, gently wiggle it until it comes free.
6. **Position the Black Lid**: Align the new black lid with the screw holes on the clipper. Make sure it's seated properly before proceeding.
7. **Reinsert the Screws**: Place the screws back into the holes and tighten them with the screwdriver. Be careful not to overtighten, as this could crack the new lid or strip the screws.
8. **Final Check**: Ensure the lid is secure and there are no loose parts. Your clipper should now have a new black lid securely in place.
Once finished, power on the clipper to check everything is functioning correctly.

I cut my father’s hair, and facial hair, his facial hair is like cutting steel wool it’s no joke and for being 78 his hair is thick! Anyways, what would you guys recommend the Oster Fast Feed or the Andis Master?
Andis masters, the down side you have to buy guards separately, but they do last longer than the fast feeds.

What happens if the inspector sees that the barber does not have a license?
Here in California, The Barber will get fined and the owner of the barbershop will be fined $1000.
Ive fallen in love with the Masters after years of using Wahl. The cordless version is just too loud for me....as are most cordless. The corded Masters took me a long time and several tries to warm up to.....I think the secret to maxxing out their power is to tune them with the lid off. Slowly increase the blade tension, which in turn, allows more power to be dialled in up to a point. They REALLY rip through hair. Theyll never get any lighter though 😂

There’s lots videos of how solder in you CZcams it’s not that hard just be careful not to burn yourself.

The strongest cordless clipper out there in the market but I can’t bare the loudness of it.

The material used for the internals of this clipper doesn’t dampen vibration. I went through and added silicon in certain areas. That helped tremendously to dampen the “chatter” of the clipper from the vibration of the motor. I know this has been a major pain point for a lot of barbers for sure but it’s got way more pros than cons.
I been with Andis from the beginning of my career, my barber kit came with the Andis masters and t-outliners even till this day I use my Andis masters. I had to many issues with the cordless version, batteries dying, this machine needs oil, oil drips to the motherboard and/or battery them and burns them out. They’re just get loud even with new upgraded yoke and motor. I don’t want to go back to modifying my clippers or trimmers (that’s how the Babyliss Fx skeleton was born remember?) i rather buy those modified parts from @philtyblendz. Andis has great warranty but you can only replace them ones. Maybe be I’m just biased because the corded version is so reliable and quite, very low maintenance, a new blade and an occasional cord and you’re set. 🙏🏽
@@premiumbarbersinc I’ve essentially concluded that the marketing behind a lot of new cordless clipper has convinced us to buy cordless clippers that aren’t what’s best for some barbers. Both the Cordless Andis Master and the Cordless Oster Fast Feed I had to almost completely rebuild due to issues that should have been addressed during the research and development stage of releasing these machines (If there was R&D done at all). Like you, I’m a big fan of the Masters as well as the Fast Feeds so I was willing to make adjustments and basically spend more money and time to get them they way it should be. Maybe one day the Manufacturers will get it right. 🤷♂️

This are very powerful clippers, they are a little too loud for my taste. But they’re quieter than the previous version. @andis upgraded the yoke and the motor.

It’s perfect, you can shave every day or wait a day or two and I’ll work with a little stubble. I love the performance.

Depends on which machine you’re using, anywhere from 10-20 minutes.

No, @Andis never includes guards with their Masters.

Both this machines warm up nicely, ones on, they stay warm ready to use throughout the day, perfect for the barbershop.
id say cool care after and before the use and blade oil end of the day
If you’re using oil only at the end of your day, you must be going through blades a lot. Keep them oiled they work best that way. I respect your opinion.

The new version is a lot more quiet, after continuous use they’ll get loud. It seems @andis are really working on fixing this issue.

The updated version is a bit more quieter, they even tuned the motor but I still don’t recommend it. Buy the JRL onyx you won’t regret it.

If you’re shaving I’ll recommend the Braun series 9 it’s great if you wait a couple of days before you shave or shave every day. As far as clippers you don’t have to spend a lot a 1989 kemie works great, you can pick them up for less $50 bucks and works great for the price.
I tore my achilles in December and had a lot of time to think. I made great money in sales and restraunt management, but the atmosphere and not being able to work with my hands was killing me. I'm 28 now and I decided to follow my dreams and give up people judging my choices and go to barber school like I wanted to 10 years ago. I’m glad you decided to follow your dream, I made my decision when I was 33 years old, I felt like a failure to my self and my family, I was always working odd jobs with no real goals or inspirations. As a teenager I picked up some clippers and really enjoyed cutting hair but never thought it was a career. My biggest regret is not starting sooner. I wish you good luck on your journey and know that you’re making the right choice, as for me this really changed my life and my family’s. Thank you for your support.

Did you put the wahl cutting blade on it or just the wahl still blade?
I used both the cutting and still blade, it was the wedge blade which has longer teeth then the other blades
