There's a difference between videos that stand out, and clickbait, clickbait is misleading with its information, I see people all the time on youtube in general make a video on the same topic but their thumbnails and titles make it seem like they're discussing two different topics, enticing you to click on both despite already being educated on the topic

The AI art thumbnails is a spit in the face to the actual human artists that work on helldivers 2.

I don't mind ai imagery as a concept, it just bothers me because you can easily get images of anything in the game for thumbnail use, the only reason to ai gen one is to make something that looks new and different to trick people, it's just clickbait. Cloud plays really tried defending it when I commented about it a while ago. It's so cheap. Just spam.

sadly these clickbaits work if not ppl wouldnt use them , for myself i activly try to avoid clickbait , like i try to avoid producs that make ads on YT :)

I’m still optimistic that it will be good but a lot of people in the comments hear free to play and instantly say that the game is going to be trash. I don’t think that’s fair to say since we don’t really know anything about it yet. I’m just hoping that it will be a good game.

What makes it just dogshit about those clickbait ytb is that they just don't care what they say in general, they just want to promote their shops, their sponsors and their bottomless ego. They always repeat the same shit over and over again it feels like ai generated script. I stream helldivers 2 on my channel and i keep getting some bots (if there even are) that were spreading what those ytb says. It pisses me off to the point of to just stop playing this game entirely. After the titanfall 3 troll that ended up being a drama, i though people would be more careful with clickbaits but i guess not...

I stopped watching because of the clickbait, they all severely blow a single tweet out of proportion into 10+ min videos of which half the video is just ads and the rest is just reading the tweet. Just read the thumbnail and move on.

omg the AI content is the worst though. Especially the ones where they are talking about a weapon, but the image is a generated image. Like there are plenty of good resolution, isolated weapon images out there. Literally just include the picture generating an image only serves to mislead people. Anyway yeah clickbait has just been a growing problem but you make some good points specifically for helldivers. There really have been a lot of doom-post click baits which does bait people in the most but I don't think people really appreciate how harmful such posts are. Like the ban post in thumbnail, without even watching it will leave a sour taste in anyone's mouth and really dissuade people from continuing to play. The concept of 'there is no such thing as bad publicity' is incredibly untrue and harmful content. So many games have communities spike into the ground because the second things go south 'dead game' topics start cropping up, no one will stick around to risk whether or not it was click bait. Because so many games are founded on the model of 'we'll finish the game later' that sticking around when no one else will feels like a waste of time because you'll never get those promised updates in a dead game. It's a viscous and very quick cycle that just cannibalizes communities.

Yep, HD2 has a very noticable slop-content problem. It's insanely tiring to scroll past tens of dramatized daily news vids just to find one where someone actually engages with the content of the product instead of rambling about externalities

I’ve watched both of Willis and cloud plays and have noticed all of your point but the reason I and probably many of their other viewers click on them is because they’re the first with the news and they’re right on top. I do wish it wasn’t so clickbaity though I feel like a robot clicking on their videos.

Preach brother. So many times when I scroll through CZcams and just wanna watch a chill Helldivers video I encounter so many of those annoying ass titles and thumbnails.

If there’s one thing I hate about Helldivers clickbait in particular, it’s them using the guy from the intro screaming.

OhDough is the only Helldivers 2 CZcamsr that’s actually honest with his audience. He doesn’t clickbait, he’s not afraid to voice his concerns even if it’s an unpopular take, he doesn’t lie about certain weapons being “OP” or “broken” or “underrated” when they’re really not, and most importantly, he doesn’t use AI thumbnails that look more like spartan armor than Helldiver armor.

I have only seen Stylosa cross the line. I will try to avoid his content.

Yeah there is a guy that when they drop a patch that fixes 3 minor bugs they say HUGE PATCH with a hand on his dick and reads a bunch of reddit posts, and AI gen. thumbnail

Pro tip : there's a chromium extension called DeArrow which aims to crowdsource accurate and de-sensationalize video titles. How it works : install the extension, watch a video, correct the title, pick a representative frame from the video, upload. From that point on, every person using that extension coming across the same video will see your corrected title instead of the original, along with the frame you picked instead of the thumbnail. It works just like SponsorBlock, which lets you tag sponsorship timecodes in videos to let others using it skip them automatically, like a Ublock Origin that works even on sponsorships baked into videos !

I feel like one part you miss with the AI videos is literally the people that have like AI right the script and then have a robot voice read it and it talks a whole lot about literally nothing. They just keep pressing the expand text option from one sentence lol until it becomes a 3 minute video anyone who I see post them I just block them nowadays lol
