I'm 60...Your 60...waiting for you to start getting into CZcams Channels (such as "BoomerBenefits") about MEDICARE (Part A)...and PART B...and PART C...and PART D...and MEDIGAP, etc. Also CZcams Channels on determining the best Medical Plans when I retire - COBRA, ACA (ObamaCare), etc. I plan on retiring in less than 3 years - when I'm 63. My wife (1 year younger than myself) is going to retire at 62 or 63.

Great video, as always, Joe. There are many other cautions to go along with annuities. An annuity is a financial “product” the benefit of which is far more on the side of the salesperson than the buyer.

And if you were never able to buy and pay off a house in time, you're doomed. The real estate market is great - if you bought the house at age 35 or sooner! Along with "still have a mortgage" you can include the forever-renters in that red flag. This is a looming retirement crisis that threatens to be a financial doomsday weapon, given Gen-X and too many younger boomers who were priced out their whole lives.

Do you test for changes in tax law or tax rates?

Instead if bonds I will have bitcoin. Small amount on a safe exchange and have access within 5 minutes. And after holding for 5 years any dips then will seem to a great return anyway. "Retire on a bitcoin standard"

I started making significant monthly contributions to my taxable brokerage account based on videos I watched on the "Erin Talks Money" CZcams channel. Two of the videos are "You (Probably) Won't Retire Early" and "The 5-Year Financial Guardrail To Protect Your Wealth." I realized I wasn't adequately prepared if I had to retire earlier than planned due to some circumstance outside my control. The simplest way to be prepared to retire earlier than planned was to build up my taxable brokerage account balance by increasing my monthly contributions and investing in index ETFs. I also increased savings in other areas such as I-Bonds for this same reason. By the way, a good bond-focused CZcams channel is "Diamond NestEgg." I've learned a lot from many other CZcams channels but this is a good example of a more recent change I have made based on watching CZcams videos.

Roth conversions are bad 90% of the time Financial Advisors are bad 80% of the time.

Watch a lot of the same channels, etc. I would rather get advice from someone who is or has actually done it with real world results. It has helped me to be able to retire after getting laid off. So psyched to start this new journey and to execute our plan.

I'm going to play this guessing game Option #1 i think you have $3.1 million If you have a budget of $72K/yr then times 10 years = $720K then multiply that to 23% that will be $3.1 million portfolio Option #2 i think you have $2.1 million I think at one point you did say you have 60/40 on B2 and 100% stocks on B3 so on $72K/yr budget bucket 1 is $360K (72 x 5yrs) let's say this is bonds/cash bucket 2 is $360K (60% stock is $216K + 40% bonds $144K) so if total bonds is $504K ($360K B1 + $144 B2) then multiple that to 23% that will be $2.1 million

Recently, I've been pondering retirement. I've also invested $800K on S&P 500 so i could secure my financial future. i need an approach to invest in Stocks like Nvidia stocks and ofcourse AI stocks that will align with my risk tolerance and financial goals but it seem to be bearish right now.
