Fantastic! Hopefully my experience will help you out a little. That said, guys like Loru and Captain Benzie have amazing guides for the game. You can also get help from resources like EveWiki for figuring out stuff like exploration.

Oh, and not to spam, but but find a good corp with a moderate number of members and a low tax rate. You can play solo, but playing with a corp honestly was part of what made me who I am today.

​@@SteelWalrus i forget to mention eatch out for scam guilds,when you enter a guild you pay like a tribute,for aexample if you kill a mob you will give to the guild it self % of the money you get by killing any kind of npcs mobs or what ever,and i hope im not being anoying is just that this game is very heavy for new players specially for content creators

That is an interesting point. Hadn't really thought about that. Eve Online has something similar. Bounties and mission rewards get 'taxed' by whatever group you are in.

@@SteelWalrus I mean i understand why abyss it limited to level 3 but not missions. Tier 6 abyss you can make upwards of 400mil an hour. You can't make that kind of ISK even on level 5 missions.

Yeah, I can certainly understand wanting to work your way up more-or-less organically. Abyssals are good. That said, some of the tags you can get from higher-level missions are worth a ton. I just pulled 7m in loot off of some Gallente ships from a storyline mission. Now I can run L3s. Problem is, that I can't fly the ships yet. lol 1k per LP is nice. Is that what your corp pays out?

The lp to isk varies depending on which lp it comes from. For example the Corp I'm in only pays around 750 for Minmatar. I believe it's 1200 for concord lp. My Corp is a nullsec Corp so idk if you'd interested in joining. I'm apart of Xa'sar "Xasar"

That's pretty cool. I like Null, and I like having a good group. That said, I run an Arma unit, this channel, and I do graphic design stuff. My dance card is way too full to get much out of living in null. lol I've always felt like that was a commitment.

Yeah, it is a commitment. We are apart of pandemic horde alliance and so we are expected to join a few fleets a month or something like that and get our honks. Xa'sar has a requirement of 15 kills per month and be active in comms.

Pandemic is ancient. Though, I think they were pandemic legion when I started back in 07 or so? And 15 kills? Does me dying count? Because that's about the only way that will work out with me! lol PvP has never been my strong suit.

I would recommend it. It's a great way to grind standings up.

@@SteelWalrus the downsides though is that grinding standings with 1 empire lowers your standings with the opposing empire as far as I'm aware.

Mostly correct. If the mission you are doing has you go against a specific faction, it will lower them. You can always decline missions that would hurt your standings. Would probably just bite the bullet with Storyline Agents, though.

Thanks! Luckily, this is part of what I love about Eve. Sure, there's some players that are just awful, but the game really does a great job of fostering community and allowing folks to work together without making a huge deal out of it. I am thinkinag about either going with FW or Abyssals next. Though I do have some mission running content in the can.

Yeah, I need to learn my ranges better. I usually run Railguns or drones on my other accounts, so I am still learning missiles. Heck, the last time I ran missiles, I think I may not have really known to pay attention to stuff like range. The Neut was definitely a bit of a shock. I I think I have only ever come across them in PvP.

That makes sense. I would be a bit nervous taking that to PVP until I get my feet properly rooted, but I gues small T2 stuff isn't generally too expensive.

Yeah. Eve is one of those games where you have to consider getting yeeted as part of the fun. I actually want to do a video about how a line from BSG taught me to embrace that ethos in gaming.
