All I can say is WOW! I have never heard a mandolin played like that! I have never heard the blues played on a mandolin! And I never would have expected anybody that look like you to be playing the blues like this, you are amazing! When are you coming to Tulsa?!

My only critique of this video is I can't decide whose hands to watch. The rhythm and the lead parts are both so well articulated and interesting. It's an unfair comparison to ask of viewers.

Had the pleasure of listening to and seeing you play last night at the Hopmonk Tavern in Sebastopol, CA last night Scott. Whoa. Blown away again. Each time I hear you and Blue Summit play around the Bay Area, I think that you all are giants. But you play with fire, passion and humility that is so refreshing. So memorable and loved your rendition of the Monkees "I'm a Believer". Great voice and a creative take on an old favorite. Looking forward to adding "City of Glass" to my collection.

wow great job! having struggled with the piece I know how challenging it is (not to Ely, though!). If I'm not mistaken, you did a little variation near the end of the middle section -- it was very nice.

I wonder why more don't play blues on mando....like the great Yank Rachell.

It isn't a Lloyd mando. It's a copy. That's a Big difference. It isn't even a Loar Gibson. It's a copy of a Loar Gibson.
