I've never seen an SMT route as amazing as Akira's route, and likely never will again. Play SMT: If, beat it, and when you do a NG+ you can unlock Akira's route. Whereas the normal game had several different areas to beat in a regular storyline, Akira's route is just you and Akira going through a completely unique giant dungeon while being taunted by the antagonist, with completely new bosses not seen in the original routes, who will each actually put up a decent fight. You'll never see such completely separate routes nowadays in SMT games.

I never play smt, is it same as Persona?
Not really in some parts like with some title's press turn (Nocturne, 4, 4 Apocalypse and 5.) SMT focuses more on three alignments Law, Neutral and Chaos (not so much with 3 or if...) while Persona is more related to one's alter ego, or other self as well as high school kids fighting demons (1 and 2 duology) or shadows after school or at night (3-5). Only similarity (sort of?) would be that it has some of the same demons with new ones in each installment. SMT's worth a shot if you're new.

Playing Nocturne on Hard for my first playthrough (every battle feels significant and tense and I am okay with it for now), and... wow this is definitely a different game from Persona, but in a good way. I'm actually getting excited for SMT V now, and hopefully we'll see more of it at E3. Hopefully, this comment doesn't age poorly in the next two weeks.

I think it's actually a remix of SMT I's normal battle theme, rather than II's, but both themes are already quite similar, so we could both be right!

I've never been an smt fan since well, I have not play any of the games, but since I can't play P5 because I cannot afford a Ps4 I'm going to be very happy to play Nocturne and SMT V for the first time.
