This video was five years ago so hope you are doing so much better. My doctor told me to take my thyroid medicine in the middle of the night and my gastro doctor (I also have celiac) had told me that I should sit up for thirty minutes after taking any medicine so my sleep schedule was really messed up. I decided to stay up until 1 am to take the medicine so I get to bed at 1:30 which doesn’t seem so disruptive to a sound sleep and I do not wake up in the middle of the night wondering if I forgot to take the thyroid medicine.

I just had lab work done today to check my thyroid. Last July it was normal, but in the past 6 months I have had about 20 new symptoms . I’m terrified of blood draws but I was determined to get answers. Hopefully my results come soon.

I had the same issues before I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism! It sucks! I used to be able to lose weight with no problems but now it’s been such a struggle. I haven’t been able to lose more than 15 pounds in the last 4 years!

I lived in Miami for 6 years before I moved to NYC. I remember you flying to South Beach on a rainy day when I was there. TJ Maxx and Marshalls are like Nordstrom Rack and Lord and Taylor lol $200, 6 outfits, cant beat that 😂 That's how you know you've been delivered from materialism 😂

My foundation always oxidized as soon as I put it on and the Mac ladies that where trying to Mach my skin was so confused as what was going on. But still at 33 my make up either looks to pale or yellowish orange no mater what shade I use. So frustrating.

Hi Olena. I'm Ukrainian living in NJ. And I too felt so much guilt. Here I am safe at home. Working and taking care of my toddler while my family in Ukraine get to hear bomb sirens go off all day long. It's just horrible and it makes me feel so gross inside. It's been over 2 years and I still haven't been able to "accept" that this is still happening. The day after the war started I went into Labor and it was hard to enjoy most of the first few weeks with my new born because I just kept thinking about and crying over my family. Many are safe, but we have experienced some lose. It's horrible. Why is the world so horrible?

Thanks for sharing your story. I hope you continue to win the war against hypo. I’ve been on meds for 15 years. I’m 44 now and even though my meds are working, I do feel like we hypo patients have to try extra hard to maintain/lose weight, manage stress, ensure we get enough quality sleep, eat right, and exercise. We have to do these things almost perfectly, whereas it does seem as though others don’t have quite the same struggle. But your advice to take breaks, do what you can, take the pressure off, and not compare yourself to others is spot on. I think you’ve got a good start to your journey. Wishing you good health, peace, and love.
