I have a newer model that has some plastic fins in the dispenser hole, so it seems like its been partially fixed. Unfortunately it didn't stop a dryer sheet that ended up clogging it.

This was NOT the answer to my problem. The water drainage was clogged with lint like material. I pulled the hose out and attached my vacuum cleaner to it. Sucked it all out and worked as advertised. I kept cleaning the lid but there were no obstructions, but nowhere online, that I found, will tell you to vacuum out the drain line!

Nuts. Mine appears to be mineral buildup after the rubber hose, down inside tub housing. Wish it were a cap.

Hey great job with this! I’m geared up for Monday and plan to shoot several vantages. What was your setup and settings for the top right sequence in this video?

For the footage on the bottom right, do you have a solar filter on the camera that you had to take off once it came to full totality? Then did you have to quickly put it back on at the end of totality? If trying to capture the diamond ring, how do you manage to not damage your camera?

This video is SO COOL! Not only did you catch totality, but you also caught the excitement of the crowd of observers, WOW! We went to far southwest NC to see the same event, but unfortunately we all were skunked at about five minutes before totality, when a heavy cloud bank moved in. We are getting another chance on 4/8/24, heading to central TX for this one. Hope it's as great an event as you illustrated here. Thank you! :)

I had a guy come over and tell me it was leaking from a seal, it was coming from the soap dispenser. I removed it and no shit it was a dam cap. Saved me 700 bucks!

I had literally the same thing in my domino cube setup and it wasn't enough of huge hole for it to collapse

Ours was not a cap, but a build up of what looked like detergent powder possibly held together with fabric softener, there is rubber piece that sits at the bottom of the hose like a 1 way valve, and when removed the outer perimiter was plugged. A combination of using a fairly thin screwdriver and water hose pressure and rags cleaned the area out. As we are in Mexico and use a clothesline to dry the clothes I think we will try discontinuing the use of fabric softener, so we get the fresh air scent without the oily clogging fabric softener.
