Love it
Me to!!! I'll make sure to let "Just Jake" know
Nice song choice 👌 coheed is a1
They are an awesome band!!! I try to use more indie style music in all my videos
@Americanmotorcycleexperience yeah man, definitely good stuff! Have one of their limited edition vinyls shipping out tomorrow, you should check out the new single, "The Joke"
You're the best. Keep making videos. You're a very good narrator.
Thanks a lot for your support, my friend! I am excited to announce that the history of Streetglide video is in the works and the Tulsa to Sioux Falls video will be released soon. Your awesome compliment means a lot. Looking forward to sharing these videos with you!
That was a cool bike until you old maned the shit out of it you should finish it off of some luggage
Now it's even cooler, went from a bike that can cross states easily at 75-85 to a bike that can cross states at 100 even easier. Can cross country and stunt!! Best of both worlds...haha let's throw some luggage on it!!! I think it looks more steampunk than the old man
That was a cool bike until you old maned the shit out of it
I have a 2010 rg with a 103, most were 96,I don't know if it's police model it's flat black with red pinstripe
I believe that's the RG special but not 200% on that
Who's bike is this?
"Just Jake's" bike. He's in a few videos with me. Wait till you see how it is now...
Nice, you don't see to many Rogue's let alone customized
Honestly I e never seen one on the road except Jake's. Weird I know, he runs side by side with my built 05 RG and he hangs well. He's done alot of cool stuff to it. I'll post a video soon of his fairing he put on it. The kids a MacGyver
HECK YEAH BROTHER RIDE!!!
Hot asf yesterday, semi chili today...we be motorcycling now

Great first live video 10k!
It was super fun, thanks for watchimg!!!!
I bought a new ‘89 black/silver FLTCU almost added a matching sidecar. Loved it, I was also only 32 years old. People thought I was crazy riding an old man’s bike but I just reminded them that the bike was on the last page of the sales brochure.
Now that's Rad!!!
there called geaser glides. must have an aarp card to purchase!!
Awesome video! Can you make one about the streetglide aswell?
Funny enough I'm legit making one for the streetglide as I respond to you!!! My plan is to cover all of them. SG video should be released by Tuesday if not sooner.
Rad
I couldn’t stomach $30,000 for a toy that will inevitably have growing pains. I have a ‘22 PanAm and it’s … okay. I was an early adopter and should’ve waited for them to work out the issues. I’ll wait this time for the kinks to work out. Also I’m 31, do I qualify as the next generation? 😂
Wellllllllllll, the older part of the next generation haha
Cool tribute to your Pops
He's a rad old feller
I currently have and have had for 11 years now and 01 Road Glide St
1:33 in the early sixties you could get a frame amounted fairing on your Panhead it was called the Continental GT
That's incredible, I'm going to see if I can find one now
@@Americanmotorcycleexperience they were for European motorcycle cop fights for the Harleys and European military the civilian version was called the Continental Gt
Great recap of the Roadglide family.
The first one I ever saw was in an ad for the 95th anniversary model. I loved it. It would be another 10 years before I could afford one and in 2009 bought one brand new. My riding buddies say I was an RG guy before it was cool, lol.
Very awesome!!!
You skipped over my 22 CVO RG 117. Skipped screaming Eagle Stage IV. Skipped King of the Baggers.
Just covered the basic models, all those others will be covered in later videos...especially king of baggers, we're huge Kyle Wyman fans here at AMX
@Americanmotorcycleexperience well that's great news. Thank you.
I have been riding an Electra Glide for years. Made the big mistake of stopping and looking at the 2024 Road Glide. Fell in love immediately. Now just got to convince the wife that I really need one.
Take her for a test ride on one!!!! SoLD!
Better to ask for forgiveness than permission.
@@Dave-sw2dm Good one Dave. Wife and I are still laughing over that one. So, she says….just go get one!
@@Glyder1959 My wife and I have a shared bank account, but we also have separate budgets we put money into that we can spend as long as the funds are there. If one of us needs a plus up we negotiate and both get a plus up.
Bro things this is gta5😂💀💀
now this guy is swerving in and out of traffic like those other clips say.
Mario kart be like
Damba$$
Agreed. I bet he thought (and still thinks) he’s a bad ass lol. Bro is his own worst enemy and EMS is probably gonna need a pretty big spatula after he drifts out of his lane into an another vehicle one of these days. It’s sad bc I’ve had a friend die riding about 2 years ago, my grandpa died before I was ever born Riding and was hit by Semi at a Red light. ppl pretend like nothing bad can happen to them and take zero precautions and way too many risks like it’s never going to catch up to them.
Bro needs a flat track in his life and to get off public roads for these types of shenanigans. 😂 mfer is giving out the here a good time, not a long time type vibes.
All fun and games untill your back tire goes out
Or until he drifts into a vehicle… Which ever comes first I suppose.

I picked up a 24 RG. It's my first RG, traded my 20 SG for it, had a heritage before that. So far, it's one of the best bikes I've owned, just wish there were more accessories for it.
The accessories will come:)
Like a chain drive!! Love tear’n that stuff up!! Got a bike for stunt and a bike I travel on!! Love this video! Appreciate the history of the road glide!! Thx for this!! 🤘🤘
Your very welcome!!!! Thanks for watching man. At the moment I'm only rolling my 05 RG set up for traveling yet I'm known to do some decent wheelies with it. I'm definitely looking for a stunt bike . Sooooon
As a 2024 owner, the bootup is ONLY for tech. You wait no longer than my other bikes to start. Like 1 second..
And to add to that, only the audio/nav tech. Gauges actually come on in that 1 second.
Well then, I'm won over!!!!
@@Americanmotorcycleexperience Haha. Yeah man, I wondered the same thing. But like my Indian Scout, you can hear the pump kick on, 1 sec, you can start right up. And I like that the OS puts the gauges on within that same 1-2 sec, and it's the infotainment, and carplay connections that can take a goof 5-10 seconds. And they can be glitchy. That would be my only complaint with the system is the Carplay aspect of it can sometimes not connect automatically, or shut off on a trip. You never lose gauges though.
Great job with the history of the Road Glide! I sell these gems and they get seriously better every year! The engineering continues to develop the best selling bike in America and the Harley Davidson culture is second to no one! Thanks again!
Looks like you had a great ride 👍🏼
I had two TG's , late 84 EVO with the enclosed chain and 88 .. Wish I still had either one .. Enclosed chain was the cats meow .. Put far side of 250k on the 84 and over 340k on the 88 .. The prototype some one mentioned below is the Liberator fairing made by Vetter , it was in the Harley P&A catalog for many years . Was a universal mount that would fit any big bike .. You see pics of Elvis' shovelhead , thats the Liberator .. I always herd ( been on HD since 1971 ) that the shark was to be the mainline touring fairing for Harley , but Vetter had a fire in 1977 and destroyed the molds ( they were supplying the fairing thru the P&A catalog ) . So HD went on it's own to develop the TG fairing ..
Bro, that is amazing history, thank you
There is so little info on the net about the RG history. Good work
You are so right about that, it was tough to find what I found and cross reference it three times. Thanks for watching man!!
Bought a 2020 and absolutely love it. Scorched Orange
Good color!!!
Excellent video
Thank you
I never let the screen completely boot up 😂 I’m half way to my destination by the time my Apple car play connects to my 24 RG 😂. The standard 117 engine with cooled heads is the best part about the new RG. Seat sucks but if you get to your destination fast enough with the new engine you never notice your ass going numb 😂
Everyone has said same thing about seat lol. Thanks for watching man!!!
my 86 was chain drive and had the air in the front engine case guard aka crash guard , AM FM with Cassette tape . the Highway light bar had the turning signals on my 86 , the Battery was under the right side saddle bag . Screaming Eagle Exhaust turn down like the Red Bike at 06:18 . It had the Oil from Engine to the Primary to filter I did not like the oil from my clutch going to the Engine I rerouted the oil lines and plugged the primary and filled it when I changed oil I still use 20/50 for the clutch . The Earley EVO got a lot of left over parts from the left over Shovel inventory .
I loved reading that!!! Thanks for sharing man
Another factoid. In 1998 The Chopped Tour-Pak was an accessory item that was designed for the Road Glide bikes only. They could be ordered "color matched" from the factory or from the Parts and Accessories catalog.
Your like a encyclopedia of Harley, I'm running my videos by you to fact check before posting for now on...your awesome.
@@Americanmotorcycleexperience I'm really into Tour Glides and Road Glides
As a Tour Glide / Road Glide nut, I was ready to pounce on your mistakes, but this time you took me to school ! BTW was that the soundtrack from the Pokémon movie ? 😂
Haha I did more research this time and practiced how to pronounce a few word before my audio!!! I learned from the last one lol. Man, I truly enjoyed the research on this one and was suprised by alot I learned. Weird enough, I'm starting to actually like tourglides because of this video....the one with the wood enlay was damn amazing...thanks for watching man, I'm tackling streetglide next. What's Pokémon? Hahaha
I said the same thing! I consider myself a subject matter expert in all things FLT/FLTR from 1980-1998 and this is the best Tour Glide video on CZcams! Great job brother. You definitely did your homework and went above and beyond. 👏
I've been riding over 30 yrs the new gen is superior in every way over the previous
RGs or the riders haha
Here's a cool factoid. The FLTR has never seen police duty until 2024. HD now makes "Police" Road Glides!
Truth
Per Corporate HD the production numbers for 1998 Road Glide bikes revealed the following. They made 421 carbureted Road Glides, 133 were Electric Fuel Injected. They also informed me that even though they made 800 Anniversary Road Glide's only 648 stayed in the USA, the rest were exported to Canada and other countries.
That's good info!!!
Not many people think the 1979 was the 1st year. Thanks for capturing that 👍🏼
Year I was born, pretty epic year haha.
According to book about the history of hd the tour glide came out in 1980
@fq7879 yes, my research shows 79.
@fq7879 all of the 1979 Tour Glides were titled as 1980 bikes. All of the castings used on the 5 speed bikes up until 1998 had a "dash 79" part number on them.
@@kennethwise7108 your welcome. It's in the book titled the complete history of harley davidson. Darwin Holstrom , Editor.
Would've been cool to have seen a 2013 Anniversary CVO model. Pretty rare bike and very sought after.
Your absolutely correct!!!
I love Road Glides especially the 1997 and the 2018 115th Anniversary model. Hard to find LOL
