So that Auratone is active speaker? If just checking mono sound dont even need it. Just listen on main monitors. Auratone mono speaker was used originally to see what mix sounds like on a typical domestic radio on MW/FM. A better test/check would be to use a cheap Bluetooth speaker ( as most people don't use old radios now but do use bt speakers) A test producers in America did in the 1950's was to have a small radio transmitter to test mix to a car radio as this is where lot of teenagers would hear the music ( think American Graffiti film..)

You can put wheels under your flightcase that will really help you getting around with your Kemper! I have to advise you to not take a soft foedraal for the Kemp you should consider that you are putting a €10,- guitar gigbag on A 1959 Les Paul standard!? Hey you wouldn’t do that cause of price and Risk of damage! I have an 1959 Les Paul and the Insurance company will not give me any Coverage for Damage if I don’t transport it in the original Gibson guitar case which is made of some sort of polyurethane/ polyester material I heard you can drive a car over the case and it wouldn’t break but only if there’s an instrument inside! Inadvisable to try this with the original 59 Les Paul HAHAHAHA BUT I HAVE SEEN THEM DOING IT

ProTools has gotta be the worst of all the popular DAWs. It's only popular because they had first mover's advantage and dominated digital recording in the early days. It's nowhere near user-friendly, it's uninspiring, ugly and expensive. Logic is miles above it

I used Reaper for 3 years, but I never felt comfortable, now I'm with StudioOne because I received it for free when I bought a Presonus audio interface, and I couldn't feel better about the change, everything flows better in Studio One.

Had one in the '80s, didn't really like it as the preamp distortion wasn't great and my ears don't like 6l6s. The scorpions might have been a part, not a big fan of those. Tons of headroom, could be a good pedal platform. And everyone agrees, they're both heavy and loud! Happy for the people who have them and appreciate them.

I have used Cakewalk and Studio One and Reaper's interface isn't as easy to use, but I think it's not as resource-hungry as the other 2.

You can buy a cheap 9v on/off adapter. I got one for my Player.

I have been using Reaper for about 3 years now. I really liked the price point and the demos of it looked great. I like that Reaper works great without too much tweaking for those of us who are more interested in actually playing music than being a studio engineer.

one that annoys my eyes are the white screens around plugins. Sensible eyes here and having a dark theme... any time i open an instrument or an effect plugin... the screen gets white.. will ask in Facebook if this can be solved... Thanks😊

After I realized Reaper was a recurring license fee after some updates, I swapped back to FL Studio. Reaper's a great DAW, but Image-Line giving us lifetime version updates is simply too good.

This is a perfect example of why I use Reaper.

I have both the pre-amp and the tube/opto channel strip. I think you should try it you'll love it. They also have a compressor similar to dbx 266. But way better completely transparent no artifacts

All I know is some top folks use this. The balance control is very unique and helpful.

I have used my Kemper Player so far on one gig. Sounds great, but I somewhat struggled with the 3 buttons. Next I will pair it with a 4-button midi USB pedal. I also have successfully turned effects on / off with a normal 2-button amp switch. So, there is hope but its not just there to grasp it immediately. I would love to be able do omit most of my huge pedalboard in favor of this unit.

hey, i own both ableton intro and reaper. i hate waiting two minutes for Ableton to open on my win10 laptop. reaper opens instantly. reaper terrifies me with its freedom, though, but so does ableton, in a different way. so, reaper kept crashing over loopcloud for me. with no recovery. until i just got mad and commanded it to stop reacting that way, and now it doesn't crash over that vst anymore. lololol!!

You get so used to your own customisations, it's wise to regularly use the 'export configuration' to an external drive, in case your main machine goes down, and you need to set up a clone. I always move the transport controls to the bottom of the screen, so they're not masked by any open fx screens I may need to see. I also hide/unhide the mixer, so I can see more tracks on a laptop screen.

I'm planning to get Reaper digital audio workstation for my own podcast studio from home and I'm tired of trap garbage music nowadays being played. I prefer my music with soul, alternative, old school and underground style of music. Is it worth the $230+ investment for my own music and podcast content from home using an Asus vivobook 15

A freind had one in his rehearsal room, and I was stocked by the sound.. I had a little hard time dialing it in because I had no idea how it was supposed to work (it's a bit odd you gotta admit.. ) But wow, it sounded awesome. I used to have a Mesa Boogie F30 at the time, and the Peavy was faaaar from ridiculous next to it. My freind told me his brother had kind of "forgot" it for ages... Was willing to buy it at some point, but the brother reapeared one day and seemed to really want to keep it.. Well, I'm here today because one is for sell not too far for 250 bucks, and when I saw the add immediatly recognized it🎉. And seen one since those days (20 years ago!!) So I'm really on the fence....

its called a profile player not a profiler... I bought one with intent on being a backup all in one rig for my QC. It took me a couple weeks to feel like i could actually use it for that purpose. but i weighed other higher end options and having the built in effects were worth the extra price for me, my prefered rig would be this with some external pedals and that is how i intend to use it but i believe i will be happy with it to throw in the gig bag or backpack for a backup or travel. Without being a expert Line6 user I can dial in a sound here that i think is much better than with stomp or stompxl. I also bought one of those and will be returning it. I hope they add more effects and some added control, in the meantime a $30 midi pedal adds most of the functionality i was missing.

*There's a ton of really top notch free guitar amp/preamp VST's, but for $29 this is a brilliant idea and price.* I have so much damn guitar and studio gear, the VST market has very little to offer me outside of VSTI's and countless high profile DAW's both free and paid provide a ton of VSTI's and sources to free additions, but it's inevitable you will want to run some of those virtual instruments through guitar related effects rather than general purpose, and an actual guitar effect digital module is unbeatable. *Within all those that are free, they also have 300 friggin effects modules and options. The Sansamp is just a very straight forward GUI and functions that give you dynamic and diverse abilities in the most simplistic of operating configurations.* It's the difference between 30 seconds to 2 minutes rather than 20-30 minutes to just get one effects program complete.

Thanks for the video, I am using my KPP for a month now, I even used it on the stage AND I TOTALLY AGREE WHEN YOU SAID YOU HATE THAT THERE IS NO POWER BUTTON. I mean cmon really? :D. Also I am hanging at their forum now new updates for some features and maybe more FXs but since now there is no offical things. Sure, there will be some updates I am sure about it but when and what is unkown now :(. So now I am searching for alernative solutions for more FXs like line6 HX effects maybe. But other than that great product, really love my profiles

I have the same amp… Friend of the family had bought it new in the 80’s and used the amp in his band until his death… At which time I was given the amp… it does everything you posted in your video, amazingly well. Great video … even tho I can’t play nearly as well as the previous owner… I hear Danny every time I light it up! Thank!

Kemper is a player, there are no bad sounds, bad profiles. A bedroom player with a 100 mic versus someone in a studio with a $15,000 mic will give you a better profile. That's why it's still around after over a decade. They recently merged modeling with profiles to create Liquid. Best of both worlds, like a guitar you need to master it. Everything being subjective, one thing is clear, playing transcends tones.

Btw in case you don't know. The Monitor Outs L/R are balanced TRS carrying the same signal as the XLR out.
