I have a 1.5 to restore, trying to find stickers. That’s all that’s holding it up. Might never find them and have to go with MCI, which are good, but not original.

Unreal find, that box is so bright white..😎 I would love to have an original again, I remember opening my first Ford Ranger F150 in Nov of 1981, thanks to my Mom and Dad (RIP) for giving me one of the best b-day gifts they ever got for me.🥲 Going to have to be happy with my faux re-pop that I have the parts for. Only need the glass and decal sheet. The one I will be building will only have the body as was in 1981, the chassis will be an upgraded 2010 as how I think Tamiya should be doing it, with a RCChannel rear suspension and coil over shock kit. Dual shocks on each rear. Nice add you have there, a much as I would like them to release another one, not to sure they ever will, but maybe in 2026 for the 45th anniversary.. ( 😳! )

There are so many kits that they should re-release. They nneed to step it up. Now that the president of Tamiya retired maybe we will see some changes... additional re-release kits, maybe some new chassis/designs in the future. It is fun seeing the blue body, i haven't seen one in person. Its on my list of kits to search for... haven't found one i want to purchase yet, most ive found are in poor condition. Fun video Keith!

It was amazing to see in person. Ironically watching RCIcons and Tamiya Legends is one of the reasons I was browsing marketplace in the first place for vintage Tamiya. Great to see it in an Epic collection.

I think tamiyas issue is licensing, and not sure if they re-re the ranger as a non-ford, like the re-re blackfoot, how people would like it, sadly. :/ But thats one glorious find nonetheless :D

How do you build a collection without buying ? As you’ve said before it’s your money too spend how you like. I’m sure your wife and family prefer you to spend on cars than vices. The quality time with your boys is worth every penny and memories created. Unfortunately some people today can’t be happy for others without being bitter
