F1 1991 — Assetto Corsa
We finally experienced it ourselves!
The 1991 Formula 1 season took place 32 years ago.
Many of us followed every race back then, got up at night to see drivers like Alesi, Senna, Berger, Piquet, Mansell, Prost, Patrese and Schumacher.
Everyone was thrilled by the drama at the iconic circuits of Spa, Suzuka, Estoril, Montreal, Interlagos, Hockenheim and many more.
We would have loved to get into the cockpit and race ourselves, but no one asked!
But in 2022, THR - a community of passionate fuelheads, gentleman drivers, SimRacing enthusiasts who love to race raw, vintage cars - announced the F1 1991 Championship.
And it was time to make up for what we had missed.
A chance to get into the cockpit and immerse ourselves in this amazing era of Formula 1.
The brutality of the cars, the screaming V10s and V12s, the sparks over the asphalt, the tension of the duels.
And THR gave us the opportunity to experience all that.
39 drivers started in the championship and battled each other in 8 races while trying to tame these powerful beasts.
Adamike became the Drivers' Champion, Jayden secured 2nd place and Potatohedron finished in 3rd place.
This video was created to commemorate an amazing season and applaud the THR community.

I have downloaded the Porsche 911 2.0 mod for GT legends at time, there was an issue in airdrag, too low, so I copied the values from the vanilla not-widebodied 911 2.7, making it slow as other GTC-65 cars. Then, I said that to the author on nogripracing, but he didn't appreciate, I hope the thing got taken care in this somehow porting to AC, 911 had to be also slower than many cars of the class, as it had only a 2.0 engine instead of 3.8 of E-type or 3.0 of 300SL, cars that were already a lot more expensive than a Porsche. Aerodynamics always have been a difficult thread in modding. And, actually, a too low aerodrag is enough to make an Escort faster than a Cobra

Man do they usually hold casual races?? I love racing vintage F1 cars and i would like to see how it feels like to race those against actual pepole Also amazing video m8 that just took me back to the times when i used to play F1 2005 on my PS2, the intro gives me the same kind of hype

@@simracefantasy Wow thanks man i had no idea something like this existed, i thought everyone on AC ran in vanilla F1 cars or those new modern F1 paid mods (wich are crazy good) but yk i wanted something more manual and visceral as vintage racing was

These shots were taken in gameplay mode, not in replay. I also haven't find a way to hide refuel indicator, that's why these shots in the scene are also shown cropped.

I find it hard to believe this sim is not more popular than it is. Kunos created a masterpiece of a physics engine almost a decade ago and now with all the updates both to the graphics and physics it’s by far the closest to real life racing available to us sim racing fans to date.

Мои настройки - компромиссные.

I play this 1991 mod on AC. It's a masterpiece. But I have a problem that drivers like JJ Lehto, Roberto Moreno and Satoru Nakajima are taking the pole positions and Senna, Mansell, Piquet, Prost, Berger and other top drivers usually can be found from the bottom of the list. Is there some kind of driver AI skill file that I should install separately?
I'm not aware if such file exists, but you can set strength and agression for each car on the grid individually. To do this, open Content manager, go to the race settings, look for the opponents section and push the button in the upper right corner named "Detailed settings". Now you can set everything as you'd like and save it as a new preset.
@@simracefantasy Thanks. Actually I was trying to race an individual race with these 1991 drivers. For some reason half of the grid are random names. Just got the championship installed and all looks well there.
