Elevate Your Guitar Solos: Nicholas Veinoglou's Guide to Arpeggio Mastery
I was self-taught when I had my guitar biz and you are bang on when you note that learning ow to do proper repairs first is the way to start. Doing a lot of experimentation was vital too and working on upgrades. Once I started designing and building my own guitars, I had the conidence to be successful at it, My preferred brand of strings is also D'Addario--I've been playing guitar for 59 years and it's the only brand I use after trying all the others.
great guitarist, good wig
I’m so glad you mentioned tuning that B string a little flat. That’s the key. That and muting the low string with your thumb over top when you’re not using it. 😂❤
She is so gorgeous it's excruciating. Listening/seeing her nerd out and share her approach. What an amazing human.
🔥🔥One of the best
Her guitar playing is not accurate, she makes several mistakes, and she's not as good as she think she is, It's too much show off, "Oh, i'm so great", "I'm the best guitar player in the world", this is the worst i've ever heard: 10:10, is this serious?, Nita Strauss is a big joke.
No one on earth plays their respective instrument as well as Thile plays the mandolin. And good gracious, this was 11 years ago.
THE best beginner slide lesson I've seen... and I've watched a lot. You've got a clean sweet sound. Keep em coming bro.
Guitar God - minus any pretense or ego.
Both of these professionals are so well spoken. Great information, great interview.
The best guitarist❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
That's such a killer riff 🔥🔥🔥🤟🤟🤟
I had the pleasure of meeting Joe a long time ago. Bought a Les Paul off a guitar forum and was told it had Plek damage. Joe actually messaged and setup bringing the guitar by to take a look at because he didn’t believe it. So dropped it off at his shop and he even walked me through how the machine worked, I got see his database of artists who had their instruments Plek’d by him. Names like Keith Urban, Brad Paisley. Heck, even met Clint Black while we were there. Not only was Joe right, it was actually a fret file damage. He even showed me the exact one that did it. Not only did he prove the seller wrong, he fixed it for free. Such a class act. I’ll never forget it. Wish I would’ve understood back then how much of a big deal this guy is.
I just hope they ramp up the Glam lyrics and pop melodies, bonus points for adding even more synth like Quiet Riot did in the QR III album
I see Ed in his smile at the end ❤
Ric Ocasek said he was only initially hoping to sell; at most, 60K of the first Cars record. Like Tom Scholz he never imagined his music would have any interest outside of Boston.
It's too big and not thick enough
10:41 eh, what is he talking about?! everybody plays guitar without any traditional instruction codifed as canon?! huh? what?
Couldn't they get a microphone for her?
The Steel is such a unique instrument. Would love to hear a master steel player playing with a Hammond B3 and a fretless bass.
Daddario is a good brand❤
In a lifelong metal head but Andy is that rare talent that makes me want something else. Such a strong melodic sense and such a graceful person.
Thanks Billy
What's the guitar he's using 🤔??
1:24 an incredibly good example of expanding on an idea but without overplaying...like, he doesn't just noodle or add a bunch of wanks, he adds fullness to the chord, and makes it more interesting to listen to and complex without adding a zillion notes. Sometimes that is indeed the answer, but not always.
Thats my go to guage also. For 32 years.
I have two sets of these and they’ve both failed on stage multiple times. Doesn’t matter how many times you tighten the screw, they eventually come loose. These locks are not for people that throw their guitar around.
Nursing rule for learning: 1. Watch it being done. 2. Do it yourself. 3. Teach it.
The incident on creating a Martin Accessory line and not getting credit for your idea is what occurs to many employees due to a company "Intellectual Property" policy. By that... many innovative ideas never get implemented by those who remain silent.
We are aware, but we also have a very collaborative work environment where ideas and voices are heard. Many of our competitors now have this.
I love this video!
I really love all information that Jim Daddario talk about starting out his company and I love all Daddario XL, NYXL, XS, XT, strings and picks, Cleaners, straps, Daddario is real innovators of all the Guitar Products and they still coming up with New Products, Daddario is real Deal, they are really awesome 😎 company and They really understand Musicians And the wants and Needs and only strings, I use. And I been usings the strings and the picks and tuners and Cleaners and the cloth, I been long time user since 1997,❤
Thank you so much for your patronage over the years!
Excellence and consistency. No reason to buy any other string.
That's what we aim for!
Elliot just blazes away like it's the most casual thing in the world and every note he plays is astounding. His playing absolutely floors me. 🎸🌄💥
Best strings... love em

Such a great story!! Thanks for sharing. Awesome family awesome company.
Thank you for tuning in! We think so too!
Their first album was a greatest hits album!!!
Very cool. I love that he's paying it forward with the knowledge he has. Good call, D'Addario =)
We love that, too!
Fantastic. Just got my first.
Hard to hear audio AND THEN the distracting music. Nice video after I pushed the mute button and just used the closed caption.
Nice video. What is he doing with the cello?
He even sounds a bit like Bob Taylor - great to hear this story and even more about Bob's legacy and the impact he'll continue to have on guitar making forever.
Thanks for tuning in!
