I've heard single pieces from this masterpiece. I stumbled upon this production and couldn't find it again. Nothing came close to such an eloquent and exquisite reinvigoration. It is the definition of a classic; universal and timeless appeal. Of the over 9M views possibly 1k might be mine.😊

I was a male choir singer in Japanese highschool and college who is baritone but no Christian. I really love to sing and listen to this music. This is a heavenly music, but I never can't sing in karaoke, LOL

I came here because of the book “failing forward” Hansel’s one of the best and in my book it talks about how he got stuck and was retired, till a friend came to him, he gave him a libretto based on the life of Christ , the work intrigued Handel. 21 days of writing nonstop later and two days of orchestrations…. He completed this 260 page manuscript “messiah”. The point is that even the best get stuck.

I'm a choir director in an Orthodox church, and I am playing this as I prepare for tonight's Easter service. When so many of the scripture readings in our service are set to music here, it just seems right. And since I've sung the Messiah so many times, I hear these choruses even when I am reading the plain text in church!
