Greetings Wayne, I waken this Sunday morning preparing for the day's events and went to my Pandora's playlist and You're in it. As in years gone-by, we so enjoyed Your music. Wondering what Your life's journey had turned to, we clicked on Facebook and did some "ketchup" on things in Your life. Dear Wayne Watson, Thankyou for these heartfelt sessions. I am a few years older than you and grew up in the Midwest. I lost my dad at 41 yrs old. I was very "brave" about the whole thing as I had five kids to think about. Now that my kids are grown up, I seem to ponder his life very often and miss him a lot. Hello, brother. Want you to know I appreciate this so much. I lost my dad 14 years ago this November 11th. I won't say much right now but your song "Turning Into Dad" is where my heart is. It seemed everything he touched turned to gold. He was a true renaissance man who had a way of mastering most anything he took on. He learned by watching the experts. I wish I could be something like him but whatever I try to do, I seem to fumble at it. While he was not an 'accessible' parent...and certainly not without faults, I watched him from a distance. He was a businessman whose philosphy was "serve your customers and the money will follow". He apologized to me the night before he died. He was sorry he didn't teach me the things he wished he had...he had always been distant. I told him that while he didn't teach me (well, much) the things he wished he did, I told him that he taught me what is more important to God...that being integrity and character (I admit, I had to go back to my blog post to remember what I said!). So, I will treasure the high And the finer things within him And I know as he would have it I will lay aside the bad Of all the things That I could still become I could do a whole lot worse Than turning into dad Anyway, I'm glad you published this reading. Thank you for your your faithfulness.

Wayne - you've been an inspriration to me my entire life - well since I saw you at the Ohio State Fair - OMG - some 30 or 40 years ago. Do you remember singing at the Ohio State fair???
