you might try a wire type saw(avail at wal-mart etc. for 10 bucks or less)takes up less room and weighs a lot less than that knife. you can cut down/cut out of the trail some good size trees too. If you go to that location often you could consider getting a weather/waterproof plastic box(like a pelican case)and bury or stash it somewhere with things like your stove and cooking gear so you wouldnt have to haul it back and forth

After you pack to get a trip associated with length, you might actually worry that you're going to forget something. This place might be perfect that you refine your camp checklist: goo.gl/tZQBYc Getting camping gear together can be more tense than packing bags for other trips because many pieces of outdoor equipment are difficult and essential to switch.

*Silky brand saws* are the best as they are faster, easier to use, are chromed for rust resistance, & stay sharp 2 to 3 times longer due to impulse hardening.

Great stuff. I use "Gink" for a fly floating gel. I've used the dry shake stuff before and found it doesn't work as good as the gel. Great assortment of flies. Elk Hair Caddis is one of my fav's for the backcountry lakes. Brook Trout go crazy over them.
