앤드류 로이드 웨버..가 현 시대의 뮤지컬 최고의 작곡가라고 일컬어지는 이유는... 로열 알버트홀애서의... 오페라의 유령...25주년 공연만으로도 충분히 알 수 있습니다... 기본적으로 세기 최고의 천재 작곡가인 앤드류 로이드 웨버... 그 스스로도 인정하고 또 좋아서 어쩔 줄을 모르듯... 배우 라민과 시에라..를 너무도 사랑하죠 ... 자신이 만들고 구상헸던, 그 이상을 창조해낸 배우들이기 때문입니다.... 시대적 스팩트럼으로.. 앤드류 로이드 웨버..를 굳이 쉽게 해석하자면... 그는 2000년대의 모차르트와도 같은 작곡가라는 것이고 .. 실제.. 그는 모차르트로부터 굉장한 영향을 받은 작곡가라는 것입니다... 레미제라블... 역시... 뮤지컬계에서는 최고의 작품 중의 하나이며... 그 작곡가도.. 전세계 뮤지컬계에서는.. 손에 꼽을 작곡가라고 들었음에도... 레미제라블 25주년 공연 처럼... 앙상블이 수백명...임에도 불구하고... 코러스가... 정교하게는.... 초라하다는 것입니다... 우리나라에서는. 뮤지컬계애서 대표적인 음악감독인 김문정애 대해서도... 10년도 넘게... 그녀를 비판해왔던 이유와도 맞닿아 있다는 것입니다... 오래전부터... 김문정을 비판해왔던 것은... 그녀가 만들어내는 뮤지컬애서의 코러스라는 것이... 구성원 몇명도 되지 않는... 노찾사의 화성학 -_- 보다도.... 퀄리티가 떨어졌기 때문입니다... (중학교 2,3 학년 당시에 노찾사..를 즐겨들었기 때문에... 누가 누군지도 모르고 막 들었었는데... 김광석, 안치환, 권진원, 윤선애.... 솔로..로도 너무나 빛났던 이들이기 때문에... 굳이 화성학 -_- 따위를 따질 필요도 없는 그룹이었지만 말입니다....) 앤드류 로이드 웨버를... 세대를 초월한 초특급 천재 작곡가라고 칭송하는 이유는... 바로....화성학...이 결정적 이유였습니다.... 레미제라블 25주년 공연은... 수백명을 동원한 코러스로도... 그 화성이 너무나 딘조로웠는데... 앤드류 로이드 웨버의 오페라의 유령 25주년 공연과 비교해서 판단해보면... 실상... 그는 코러스를 몇명 쓰지도 않고서도... 너무도 아름답고 풍성한 하모니와 합창을 만들어냈다는 것.... 수백명의 레미제라블 앙상블이... 전혀 부럽지 않을 수준... 당연히... 아무나 못 하는 작품수준... 이는... 수학자에 가까운... 엄청나게 정교하고 분석적인 두뇌를 가진, 진정... 세기의 천재들이나 겨우 만들어낼 수 있는 작품과 퀄리티라는 것.... 솔직히... 해외에서 성공한 뮤지컬들 수입해서... 한국어로 번역한 게 전부일 뿐인 작품들에 대해서... 김문정이 음악감독으로서 무슨 역할을 했는지 이해할 수도 없는 부분이죠.... 생계를 위해서라면... 음악적 자존심 따위도 내팽개치며 껄떡거리는 윤상과 같은 부류... 솔까.. 우리나라 뮤지컬에서 다작을 음악감독했던 김문정보다도... 이름도 모르는, 힌예종 출신의... 뮤지컬 빨래... 의 작곡가가... 화성학이나 음악적 여러 장르에 대한 이해도에 있어서 훨씬 더 뛰어난 작곡기라고 판단했던... 10년전의 나의 판단은... 여전히 변함이 없다는 것입니다....
