Just ran across this. Wished the entire interview was posted. Thanks for posting. As much as I like Andy, it was nice hearing Colin getting to finally speak! Otherwise Andy would have dominated it because it's his personality. Colin seems like such a sweetheart! Love that!
Hay Lucy, Thanks for watching. You Tube at the time of posting this, would only allow 10 minuits of video, so i managed to edit it right down to the interview but what you see is the A.P. C.M. and very sadly missed Kevin Greening interview. Colin is very much a real sweet heart, met him a few times... Thanks. MASIVE XTC FAN..
@@vhxtc1 Yeah CZcams and their infamous rules. 🙄 Thanks for replying. I wished i had a chance to see them live, but I was 14/16 when they came to Texas, but they only played Houston once. Unfortunately I missed the EXTC show last year! Arrggg!
Andy sense of humor is for 14 yr-old. He’s not funny at all. Colin looks as if he wished he was anywhere but there…
It's true. Any songwriter worth their salt and records their own music sends their stuff at some point to Mr Partridge :)
I have a lot of respect for Andy as a musician, and he can be very funny, but he can also come across a a pillock at times. Colin is cool and reserved.
Getting Andy Partridge to shut up for a bit is like asking Sting to stop posing so much. All stems from insecurity, desperate to be taken notice of.
Ahhh, Andy just can’t help himself, and poor old Colin fades out beside. It’s such a dumb idea to do dual interviews. The bigger personality dominates, and the quiet guy sits there seething.
I went to Heaadlands School with Colin in the late 1960s. A friendly quiet boy!

Agree with u000drl, Andy grates on me a bit during this interview, although I admire him as a musician. Colin seems like such a sweet guy, very shy. He came alive in their videos though, especially 'Nigel'. Thanks for posting.
would have been great if andy would shut the hell up and let us hear colin. no wonder he left music, at least andy.

Agreed. There's so much crap out there. St Vincent 's one of the few that's worth mentioning at this time.
This interviw took place during the months of June/july 1998. Cloin Moulding was 43, Andy Partridge was 45 and Kevin Greening was 35. Unfortunatly Kevin Greening died 9 years later on December 29 2007, the day befor his 45th Birthday.
Sad to see this now; both of them happy and looking forward to the future. C'mon guys, bury the effing hatchet and give us some more toons. Please!
