Ca has such a deep emotional connection with you.

I noticed when Ca tried to touch you with her paws that they have very distinctive webbed feet which you find in many dogs for instant poodles also. Truly the most adorable animals

My Lurcher mutt rescue displays something quite similar I noticed here. They are obviously capable of 1, jumping the barrier 2, nosing the gap wider and having run of the house, but they don't. When we leave for any extended period, couple hours say, we say "in the crate" .. she goes right in, then close the door not even all the way. She never pushes it open. I've never had a dog who didn't try to breakout everywhere all the time.

We just lost our beautiful wolfhound boy a few months ago, he was incredibly smart and would stay beside us even at the dog park. Wanted nothing to do with other dogs, just hanging with the humans❤

My clever labradoodle has trained her dim human. She rides shotgun around town, and after a lot of patient work she trained me to pet her when the waves her right forepaw (initially thought it meant "hold my paw" but after a lot of pitying looks I got past that). Next step was easier: lifting her left forepaw and pointing the elbow at means "rub my tummy". When I get it right my reward is a careful cleaning of the back of my hand, with special attention to any healing cuts I may have.

Clearly u cant leave anything out on the counters with canine heads at that height. Once i left a big frozen corned beef roast on the back of the counter and went to work, leaving my doberman to guard it. as it thawed, she began to smell it, she then ATE the half frozen roast, then looked guilty when i came home, i put her out to go potty and she promptly threw up the WHOLE BLOODY THING on the lawn! well later SHE had it for dinner (I didnt touch it i was so mad and disgusted that she WASTED a whole roast!) and we had soup. drat!

Why don't you put the food where they can't smell it ? YOU can eat whenever you want...they can only eat at your whim. At least if they couldn't smell it, they might be able to think of something else....unless you're tormenting them for OUR amusement.....

I saw the name Bu on the thumbnail/description and the name caught my attention, as I was thinking that maybe it was from the periodic table of elements -- Bu (Butlerovium) I have an eight year old Golden Retriever I named AU, AU, sounds a little like 'hey you', and that is what most people hear, when I tell them his name, but on the periodic table of elements, the name for gold is Au : ) When I tell folks that, they love it, given AU is a golden. And upon a few rare occasions I didn't even have to explain it...I've had a couple of guys who were into 'gold' via panning for it or metal detectors and one guy was a science teacher...lol. Anyway, again your dog's name caught my attention as 2-letter names are not common for pets. And my first reaction was Bu might be an element but also pronounced like I do with my own dog...in which case Bu would sound like 'Be you' rather than boo : )
