Fantastic! Thanks you. This will make a big difference to the outcomes of my felties. Thanks for taking the time to make this.
So glad to hear it's helpful 😌
You were awesome thank you so much. Trying to get rid of fuzzies
Aw thank you! 😊
just making my second cat your the best❤
Aw thanks 😊 brilliant you are on your second one!
Hi Amanda! This video felt tailor made for me. I know that I know how to felt, but I just have no confidence in myself. I do love the work I create but always worry that I’m not good enough. At what point can a felter begin to sell his/her/their work? I have people around me telling me that I am at that point, but as my confidence is routinely at a zero, despite lots of practice and familiarity with wool (I’m also an obsessive knitter) I can’t help but doubt myself. How can I learn to make the leap to selling my creations and properly judging their worth? Thank you so much for making and sharing this video. It was tremendously helpful and gave me just the boost I needed today. :)
Thanks so much for your lovely message. I am so glad the video helped you! I would say just take the plunge and sell a few items at a price you feel comfortable with after all your effort and time to make them. So consider what others similar are being sold for and don't go below that, also consider your experience etc. I started off selling to a few people I knew and who appreciated my time and supported me and went from there.
@@FittobeLovedFelts thank you for your helpful and heartfelt advice. To be honest I’ve been mostly gifting my pieces to family and friends, so taking the plunge to sell them can be intimidating. Your words of support and encouragement were truly appreciated though. Thank you for taking the time to respond! 😊
What kind of wool do you use for this? I can’t seem to find these long strands, only carded fluffy ones 😊 And thank you for a great channel!
I use pieces of tops/roving, merino or corriedale usually. The strands all go in the same direction.
This was super helpful, thank you! I’m deciding to go with feather shafts as I’m making a realistic raptor mask.
So pleased it was helpful.
Thank you so much for your excellent tips and advice. I am new to needle felting and find your videos fascinating :)
That's great to hear, thank you 😊
Wow, you're amazing!! I'm a beginner. My first bunny was a kit, I made a 2nd smaller bunny from leftovers from the kit. This needle felting is addicting & I love it!
You are so very kind, thank you 😊
Very informative! I learnt a lot, thank you for sharing :)
Glad it was helpful!
Wow! What a fantastic tutorial! ❤
Thank you so much!
Hermoso trabajo 👏👏👏
Thanks very much
Hace como una semana descubrí esta técnica del afieltrado es estoy encantada. Tengo 3 perros y voy a intentar hacerlos. Gracias por tan excelente explicación. Una pregunta. Le pones alguna cosa para darle brillo a los ojos y nariz ? Gracias gracias
I'm glad you like the tutorials. So wonderful to make your own dogs. No I don't add anything after. Just try to get the light and shade right in the colour of the wool.
What is the core felt wool called ?
I usually use corriedale wool
Beautiful - thanks for sharing
Thank you 😊
I love the poke felt wool cat models you’re making. I’d like to make a model of my late kitten.
That would be lovely to do 😊
How do you attach them so they don’t wobble or fall off ?
Love your work thank you for sharing. It with us ❤
You are so welcome 😊
Thank you for helping me make a cat for my daughter. She will love it ❤
I'm so glad! 😊
Could you use the reverse needle for thinning a part that is too thick, by pulling out wool and trimming w a scissors? Awesome video btw!
Yes, absolutely. Great tip 👍
thank you for sharing. Very informative.
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Do you happen to have a tutorial for a cow? Not a highland cow. I have looked everywhere and cannot find one. My daughter in law loves cows...obsessed really.
Aw sorry no I don't. Love cows too!
Ok ty for responding.
How do you attach the tiny feet to the rest of the project?
I attach by adding more wool and build up the ankle the same way as you would with any non wire felted foot or body part 😊
Thank you!
You're welcome! 😊
Omg i have so much respect for people who needle felt. I crochet, tried needle felting and couldnt do it. I want to try again as i am a dog groomer and thought it be nice to try and make a needle felted version of their dogs witb their dogs hair in spare time. Is this possible?
It's great you want to try again. There's so much room to create and find your own style with needle felting. I started with crochet too but felt confined to patterns. Yes a lot of people use dog fur. It can be a little silky to easily felt - depends on breed. I have made a piece from wool but added a bit of fur in with it. Let me know how you get on 😊
How long did it take
Oh gosh not sure. I don't time it as it takes away the fun. Many hours over several weeks 😊
Your tutorials are wonderful! I appreciate the realistic detail in your beautiful creations. Thank you ❤
Thank you so much!
Great tutorial 👌
Glad you think so!

Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Very useful
Thanks a lot
So inspiring to watch and a great tutorial series that makes me think I might be able to do it myself by following your amazing instructions. I sadly lost my cat on Valentine’s Day this year and really want to make a recreation of his beautiful face and use some of his real fur that I’ve collected. He was a Maine coon so there’s clumps of his hair everywhere. At what stage do you recommend adding his fur? Should I use it for the fluffing stage, or add it early and for creating the tiny markings and patterns? PS, I’ve never needle felted so this could be a complete disaster in the making😅 but your brilliant tutorial series gives me the confidence that I might pull it off. ❤
😻 beautiful
Thank you! 😊
Very informative and professional
Thank you 😊
Your videos are always so helpful. When using the wax I was wondering if there was a problem with it softening later on after being used for a nose, claw, etc.
Thank you. Not had any issues no.
I have dealt with felt needles for rooting hair on dolls and never knew there was a reverse needle. I can't wait to do my first felting project. I have learned so much from you. Thanks you
I'd love to know how you get on.
I am curious how many hours it took to complete this.
I didn't count. I purposely don't as it can take away the fun. 😄
Loving the tutorials. Is there a nose tutorial? I was wondering if you made it from felt, done the wax technique, or made it from clay.
Thank you. I made it from wool but the video cut out during filming. So sorry. Hoping to make a nose video at some point.
@@FittobeLovedFeltsjust a quick thought Miss, I think that is what that other person was referring to in this comment section when they said you “cheated” or whatever. I’m sure they were talking about the nose and eyes not being filmed
Yes I think so too. It was only the nose though. The eyes have a whole video. 😊
@@FittobeLovedFelts hehe I know, when you started posting the videos as ‘part 1, part 2’ etc I just figured you’d show it in another one later on :) very well done by the way, I still use these tutorials to this day. Me and my boyfriend recently got our calico so I plan to felt her soon :)
