Hi I’m new to gen 4 wiring harness. I was wondering how many wires needed for stand alone gen 4 harness. Can you recommend which wires run fuel pump, any hot wires or ground for 2010 Silverado harness for stand alone application

@@krazobuildz7567 pink wires from injectors are ignition power . The other 8 go to the ecm

The ls swap is easy. The e38 pin out chart is all over google . If you are making a harness this is the most basic of questions . I recommend getting a ready to go harness . So you don’t burn down your car
hummertech oh I have the pinout but just don’t see the oil wire or temp wire. I got the rest. I figured they would come out of the plug that went to the inside.
I believe it’s the x109 plug. I can’t find what the wires are in that plug. I did locate the MIL so I figured the oil and temp that needs to go to the dash would also be in that but so far no luck.
What’s the year make model engine. Of the harness you Are working on. Most of the oil and temp signals to the cluster on the e38 ecm are data buss signals. They come through the data wires. There is no actual oil or temp wires for gauges. They do make data buss decoders that make booking up gauges easy .
Super helpful videos. I had to add a female terminal/wire in a blank hole on my Camaro- GM ECM (C1, pin 57 location) and of course it was filled with the black plastic. This video and the 2nd part was really helpful for me! Great videos and thanks for posting these.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I just started stripping my factory harness for a hot rod project. I had the pin outs but I was at a loss to figure out how to disassemble these plugs and get the wires out. This video was perfect! I've removed the unneeded pins but I've only gone the first 4ft. of the harness so far. I got a long enough piece to add it for a tach wire. One thing I haven't figured out yet is what to do with all the TONS of extra non pcm wires at that end of the harness, the ones I need for power sources etc. It would be nice to have a list of which ones I need to keep. I read the pink and the pink with black get bundled together to Keyed +. Other than that I'm at a loss.
I have a 2007 Nissan Xterra. Getting code P0081. VVT Bank 2 not connected right. Engine runs smoother with VVT unplugged. Any suggestions?

What are you building ? Most all data ports are wired the factory way. Pin 16 power pin 4 and 5 ground. And pin 6 and 14 are high speed data
